SEGA has struck a deal with US retailer Target to exclusively sell Sonic Pinball Party in the country. If you live in the US and are looking for a copy of the GBA spinoff, which released there about a week ago, you won't be able to find it anywhere else.
The news came from IGNpocket, who contacted SEGA after hearing that many fans couldn't find the game on store shelves. According to IGN, "Exclusivity isn't a new thing in the videogame world, as retailers have worked with publishers to offer specific games that can only be purchased from that particular store. Sonic Pinball Party is part of that "exclusive" club."
Representatives from SEGA confirmed the exclusivity by sending IGN the following statement. "Target has been a phenomenal retail partner in regards to the Sonic series as a whole. And we wanted to utilize that history and momentum to maximize sales of Sonic Pinball Party, specifically at Target stores."
If you usually shop for your games at GameStop, you might need to expand your search to your nearest Target after all.
