That's...what I said though.

I thought you meant something else.

If it really is just burning off the other infections then why can't Sonic just cure himself by running for an extended period of time?

It's like how you can cut out a tumor but you can't be sure you got every last bit of it so sometimes it comes back.

How long in the comic book timeline has the metal virus been going on?

Sonic's infection spreads if he isn't running at all times.. How does he manage to sleep?

My evidence is looking at works and analyzing them and making observations based on what's presented in the work. Its called critical analysis, its a thing you learn in school

I'm pretty sure you were suspended not too long ago for your inability to argue things without being a condescending shitheel in the process when people don't immediately acquiesce to your unique brand of "critical analysis." Would you you like to make it permanent this time?

Well, who knows how livid they really arrrrre?

3-      <----

2-      <----

1-      <----

They could be at any one of these levels of livid.

It's hard being a fan of something and constantly not feeling like you're owed things.

It's that real struggle.

So in lieu of writing up a view, I'm gonna give a funny little insight into how I sometimes experience these:

So as you know, some of these issues have a story that heavily emphasis or focuses on a particular character or location from the games. Because my laptop is often sitting on my desk for convenience, there have been occasions where I'll look up music or songs from the games related to the story and have it playing during a number of pages.

Well, since this issue loosely features Edgy the Hedgy; Liquid Bronze Edition, I decided to play two Episode Shadow remixes through half of the comic. Something I occasionally have to deal with when using my laptop period is the thing freezing up a window for whatever reason and when that window includes a playing video, that can likewise result in either the picture getting stuck on a frame or the entire thing stopping for a bit. Which in this case led to this:

Spoiler

"Besides, I've been having bad dreams lately."

♪Oh yeah! Hurry to the unexplored land!

I'm not scared at all--Are you scared of somethin?♩

Please don't respond to the sockpuppet account of the member formerly banned for asking why there wasn't more Shadow pornography. He's not the most impartial of sources, if you can believe it.

Oh, is that who that is?

As I stated previously all I said was " its a simple concept , its not that crazy " Its in fact a thing you learn in school. Trying to emphasize that point wasn't out of the ordinary but something you can apply to things in general. And reiterated that, multiple times. That this is in fact not a crazy premise. To be blunt that's not being a shit heel, you misinterpreted my statement. It happens, plain text reads differently to the person reading. If you want me to explain all you gotta do is ask.

Also, could we keep from calling people out of their names, I ain't call anyone anything.

I’d imagine it’s not enough to be condescending toward them about it.

Yeah, no. Even if, somehow, you expect me to believe that this time that's not what you meant when you say something implying that you're the only one capable of critical analysis; you've got a rap sheet a mile long from this exact thing. We've had members tell us outright that they avoid topics you post in because of this exact thing. Multiple staff members have attempted to have conversations with you where you've done this exact thing. You were already banned once, and fairly recently, for this exact thing.

"People could just try not being offended when I do this exact thing, except I somehow don't mean it in that way this time" isn't an option you're being presented with. You can choose your words more carefully, so they don't come off as completely indistinguishable from when you're deliberately being condescending, or you can leave.

That's just almost absurd to hear, Ian loves Shadow, I don't know what are you talking about.

1) I don't deny that Flynn writers Shadow well and gives him more attention than to most characters. But that is sign of professionalism, not love.

2) My previous post gave extensive proof that Shadow is almost always either unsuccessful or wrong in his actions. And while neither of those things are automatically bad, the frequency of this makes me question Flynn's motives. I'm not unreasonable, good story over favoritism of character, Shadow's grey morality is interesting, etc. I just feel like Shadow fan would notice that trend and try to do something about it.

3) It's mostly gut feeling okay? IDW #19, that's a love letter to Tails. Amy defeating Iron King in Archie #208, Knuckles outsmarting Nack in "Championship". Those are 'hey, I have great idea for a scene/story that shows how awesome those guys are. God I love them."  And I never had this feeling with Shadow, every casual coolness. And that's fine, Flynn isn't obligated to love Shadow as much as I do. I'm just free to say "In my opinion Flynn likes Shadow just averagely, much preferring other characters over him."

But hey, give me one story where 1 Shadow plays large role 2 is likeable, smart and competent 3 does something really cool without help from others or causing mess in the first place.
and I'll change my mind. "Shadow Fall" was closest in this decade, but even that starts with Shadow getting recklessly captured and needing saving from his team, with him kicking ass only in last 1/3 of the arc. Against a weaker version of villain he already beat, but now I'm just being obnoxiously nitpicking.

EDIT: Even look at World Collide, with Blaze burning army of robots, Omega puts Napalm Man to shame, Espio has epic duel with Shadow Man, Silver ravages robots with his ESP, Knuckles is apparently 'tougher than Guts Man". So Shadow as popular badass of the franchise, in a crossover that suppose to advertise comics to new readers new/MegaManFans gets too... kill frozen Shadow Man? Sneak attacked by Shade Man? Teased and steal-kill from Sonic? I know, he saves a fat bloke. Yaaay. I know, I'm nitpicking, I'm projecting and all those things, but  this is is just one of many 'evidences' that my very subjective brain reads as "Flynn doesn't love Shadow".

Okay, he doesn't "love" Shadow.

Where does that fresh coated train lead?

Nowhere. I shared the fact my opinion,  it's what fan forums are for.

Best case scenario, if I convinced some of you to think "you know, it would be nice to have Shadow story that shows him in unquestionably positive light for a change".

I'm not shocked by all of this mess because Ian has always been accused to play favorites, game fans and Sonamy fans accused him of using Sally as a pet character, and vice versa the SatAM fans thought he was killing them off later in the original continuity. Shipping Wars… blah blah blah. Similar to that, he gets accused of hating Shadow.

Besides, no one pointed out that Knuckles is one of his admitted top favorite characters, and where is he in this arc?

By the way, I requested this cover and here it is, Surprise!

Yep, that's Hesse, and it's the cover for issue #25, an extra long issue.

Blaze isnt in this arc either right now. As mentioned before shadow is around because people like shadow and odds are the stuff with his face on it sells well. So having some fight event with him during the summer is possibly some milestone that needs to be hit.

Absence doesn't mean the bias doesn't exist, they could just come in the story later. Certainly doesn't remove the perceived bias

But how shadow continues to be treated should be made note of. Because no one else even the Babylon rogues, a group of characters he admits to not liking gets treated like this

He also loves Big and he's not in IDW, unlike Metal Overlord who he dislikes. And he claimed Blaze is in top 5, which is surprising to say a least.

Amount of each character Flynn decided with brain: how someone is popular, who naturally fits into a story, for whom he has plans for future. You know, bunch of variables.

HOW he writers characters Flynn decided with heart: he's trying to make everyone happy, but as every humans has weaknesses and biases, so he'll write some characters better than others? And that's fine. Can I blame him that writing Omega is so easy and fun, while Shadow is controversial, complicated, convoluted so writing him is hard? ...maybe a little. Writing is his job.

On a different topic, we're going to Central City. That's human town. Stage from Shadow Game, implied setting of SA2 and HUB from Battle (and considering super computer and Cream's drawing map, last one will be main influence). Okay, so in Battle we don't see any humans, but Rouge takes orders from government and has access to some facilities, implying GUN involvement. Isn't that exiting?

...who am I kidding. There will be no humans and everyone will act like they were never there.

You know, I just realised, have we had any solicits for past Issue 25? Because I could see that being the finale to the Metal Virus arc.

We only know it continues up to 2020, so if it ends in January it'll be disappointing.
