Sonic: "So what is he then?"

"An enemy?"

"An annoying friend?"

"Oh, wait, wait! I got it! He's your brother, isn't he?!"

[Spin Attaxx]

"...how'd you know of him?" Lumina asked. "I'm pretty sure I didn't mention him... but yes, it's him. Come on out, you horrible little git!"

Homura's shadow returned to normal as an odd creature emerged from it.

Name: Shade

Job: Spook

Personality: Shade is a Dark Elemental with something to prove. Long ago, it was said that "There is no such thing as an evil Elemental". While the generally good-natured personalities of Elementals proved this, Shade felt differently, and has since dedicated his life to proving it wrong. And he does so with upmost glee and enthusiasm. As such, he is not very popular among the surviving Elementals, though they tend to regard him as a nusiance more than a threat. The one exception is his twin sister, Lumina, who hates him with a glowing passion. As a Dark Elemental, he is able to control all manner of darkness and shadow, and it's thought that his true form lies in complete darkness...

 

"Hehehehehe, thanks for the lift, sucker," Shade sniggered.

[Failinhearts]

Tails: "Well, when you said "it's him," that implies you know him."

Sonic: "And judging by your tone of voice, you must know him well..."

Sayaka: "The heck is that thing?"

"It's like a Crobat..."

[Spin Attaxx]

"For your information," Shade said, turning to face Sayaka, "I am no mere Crobat; I am the last Dark Elemental, the evilest Elemental of all! The King of Demons! The Lord of Darkness! THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS! THE BRINGER OF NIGHT!! THE-"

"Spewer of Hot Gas," Lumina sarcastically snarked.

"HEY, SHUT UP!" Shade snapped, angrily pointing at her. Whenever he made wild or quick arm movements, his stubby arms would quickly morph into long and bony ones with fingers.

[Failinhearts]

Sonic: "Oh, please. My friend Blackout is more intimidating than you!"

"He's of the dark element, can summon black holes, can use his wings as whips and is a freaking dragon."

"And he's on the good side!"

Tails: "Sonic, don't provoke him."

[Spin Attaxx]

Shade stared at Sonic. Then that stare turned into a glare. A glare with bloodshot, steaming, furious eyes.

"Oh, so you think he's sooooo much better because he's a Dark dragon who can make black holes, huh?" Shade growled.

"Where we come from, black holes are more of a Gravity magic thing," Robinson whispered into Sayaka's ear.

"Well," Shade went on, "can he do THIS?!" With that, a large sphere of darkness enveloped Sonic, completely blocking him from seeing and being seen. Then, a sharp distortion occured within the bubble, damaging Sonic a lot. "Eat Dark Matter, peon!" Shade shouted as he cackled maniacally.

Sonic: *The black hole clears as Sonic bursts the bubble in a flash of magic*

"Heh....Heh..."

*pants*

"That only knocked a bit off my Magic Reserve is all..."

*grins, trying to keep his cool*

Homura: *rolls her eyes*

[Spin Attaxx]

"SHADE," Lumina shouted at the top of her lungs, uncharacteristically angry. "STOP. TRYING. TO KILL. PEOPLE."

"Well, maybe they should learn to respect evil when they see it," Shade smugly stated, folding his arms.

By this point, Jessica had gotten out of bed again, though this time she at least put her tights on. "What's going on now?" she asked. And then she saw Shade. "Oh no... guys, I'm so sorry THIS bugger turned up..."

Sonic: "I'm a hero. Respecting evil is not what we do."

Homura: *scoffs at Sonic's remark*

*everyone sees Jessica*

Sonic: "It's cool."

"He's no Mephiles, I could have taken him."

"Hey," Shade shouted to Homura, "I'm FAR more evil than this Mephiles guy you speak of! I could totally punt his sorry behind three ways to Sunday, you mark my-"

"OK, Shade," Jessica sighed, "either you shut up this instant, or I'll have to freeze you solid."

"While I shower you in light," Lumina followed up, tapping her stocking foot on the floor impatiantly.

"Bleh, OK, fine," Shade groaned. "But you'd better watch your backs..." he said, ominously.

Sayaka: "Anyway, how about we go outside and explore the village for a bit?"

"It'll allow is to cool down."

Sonic: *eats a BFZ Fruit to replenish his Magic Reserve*

"I guess..."

Tails: "It'll do you good, Sonic. Get you out of the bad mood I know you're in."

[Spin Attaxx]

"OK," Jessica replied, as she went back up to put the rest of her outfit on.

Lumina likewise stepped back into her boots. "I'd love to go sightseeing," she happily sang. "But," she whispered to Sayaka, "please keep a close eye on Shade, I'm scared he might steal a baby's lollipop given half a chance."

[Failinhearts]

Sayaka: "We'll do our best!"

*winks*

Sonic: "Let's rock and roll, I guess."

Tails: *looks at Sonic with a worried face*

MEANWHILE IN BFZ's HOUSE...

*BFZ is holding a seed*

Huh. The fruit that Sayaka gave me really helped! I better plant this seed, cuz who knows we're gonna need more of these things!

*BFZ plants the seed and waters it*

"Wow! These things grow fast! Well slightly..."

*Nightwing watches the whole thing unfold*

''Meh, I've faced tougher''

*He pulls out engima sticks*

''There's Joker, Deathstroke, Trigon...''

*BFZ spots a human wearing a black suit*

He looks really familiar... Where have I seen him before...?

*BFZ walks to the human*

"...Who are you again? I think I've seen you somewhere but I can't remember..."

*Nightwing looks at BFZ*

''I'm Nightwing''

''I'm the mayor of this town''

*Sayaka and the others walk into the plaza, where they see tons of stores*

Sayaka: "Is it me, or does this place get bigger and bigger?"

Sonic: "Nope, it's not you."

"That's what happens when you live in a village that DOESN'T have to deal with enemy fire every week."

[Spin Attaxx]

Lumina looked around in awe. "Oh, WOW," she smiled, "this place looks sooooooo cooooooool!"

Jessica and Shade both looked around, and both thought to themselves, 'Eh, it's OK I guess.'

[Failinhearts]

Sayaka: *gasp*

"No way! Check out that music store!"

"Come on, guys! Let's check it out!"

Madoka: "Oh, Sayaka. You and your music..."

[Spin Attaxx]

Lumina went ballistic at the sight of the store. "YAAAASSSS canweseeitcanweseeitcanweseeitcanweseeit..." She was hopping up and down like an excited child at a sweet shop.

Jessica nervously giggled. "OK, Lumina, we'll have a look. Maybe they'll even stock your music!"

"Yeah," Shade said, "in the 'For Deaf People' part."

"Stop it," Jessica replied.

[Ellipsis-Ultima]

"O-Oh! I did not know that! N-nice to meet ya!"

Who's this Doom guy he's talking about? I think he's one of the villains he fights, given the superhero-ish look he has..."

*BFZ spots a music shop*

"I'd better get going, again, nice to meet ya!"

*BFZ heads inside the music shop*

"Eeeeyup the other stores are big as heck."

Madoka: "Lumina, you're on that CD!"

"This place allows you to preview music, let's have a listen!"

*Madoka chooses a song on a touchscreen and puts on headphones*

"Wow! You're really good!"

[Spin Attaxx]

"Ehehehe," Lumina blushed, "thanks~"

Jessica was surprised to find it here. Lumina, or Lucy Laserwave rather, was popular across her world, but she was mostly an underground singer, primarily due to Charn controlling a good chunk of the universe and banning music (or at least, music made without his approval) entirely. It was somewhat surprising to her, then, that such an underground album would make its way here.

*Sayaka goes on the touchscreen*

*presses a song on the player*

*after a couple minutes, she begins crying*

Sonic: "Sayaka?"

Madoka: "She's listening to Ave Maria again."
