• Mega Sceptile is Grass Dragon
• Others keep their Type
• Mega Diancie's Type is a mystery
• Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre are called "Atom Groudon" and "Atom Kyogre"

I still don't know if I believe this or not mostly because I just wasn't expecting it.

Wow, I might actually pick Sceptile now due to that new Mega Evo typing. I've ALWAYS switched between fire and water starters...time for a change of pace.

 

The designs for Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert are lovely IMO. Mega Swampert looks like a flippin tank...Swampert did already look like a tank but damn Mega Swampert has been lifting! Looks like Knuckles isn't the only one making gains.

Or because you'll be able to choose skin tone like in XY.

Probably the former. X&Y's changes weren't in the official artwork.

They look fine, they reflect the tropical climate of Hoenn while also referencing their old designs. I don't see the problem with them at all, especially since this could have been far far worse (i.e. we could have completely new characters instead).

 

And yes I assume we'll be able to change costumes.

No doubt customisation options will be available so I'm okay with both trainer designs. Everything else is looking good, even the mega evolutions. Mega Sceptile looks especially cool.
