That was pretty obvious. In any Silent Forest footage Sonic clearly bounced back off the flowers after they opened.

There's a new path with the minecarts too bad you can't use them also what was up with the eagle after trying to fly to the other section it automatically turned off and he landed on the transition spring

The key words here are "transition spring." It would be pretty terrible if you flew along the level only to end up spazzing out all over the place as you reach the other side
