A while back The Sonic Stadium was the first to announce Sonic's appearance in Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (oh, you know it), and there were some naysayers.
Then, a day or so ago, we found Sonic Team's updated Japanese website with more official details and screenshots of Sonic popping up as a hatchable animal.
Now, most recently, IGN managed to contact SEGA about whether it was all real or just a fake stunt (slow mo's... 
), SEGA came back with a press statement confirming the incident, and some concrete details about the hedgehog's whereabouts...
