Some new information has been revealed about the new lineup of Sonic and Super Monkey Ball toys planned for McDonald's Happy Meals this summer. They will be some kind of "interactive toys", which we're assuming means little handheld LCD games.
According to Gamespot, there will be a "series" of these toys released, but we now know of at least two. 'Sonic Speedway' will "put players in a simple race to the finish line," and 'AiAi Banana Catch' will "have players catching bananas that fall from the sky."
SEGA America's president of marketing, Mike Fischer, had another quote to go with this update. "The characters of the Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball franchises are some of the most recognizable icons in video games today. This relationship with McDonald's allows Sega to further reinforce those character brands with the younger gamer through a never-before-seen premium vehicle."
"Premium vehicle." Sounds delicious. Anyway, we'll share more details on these toys when we get it.
