  • Super Bowl Ads Will Feature a First Look at Paramount's Knuckles Series

    Knock, knock, it's Knuckles.

Whether you're catching the upcoming Super Bowl for the football, the ads, the halftime show, or just the chips and drinks, expect to see one more long-awaited trailer premiering. Variety has revealed a list of the many films and shows that will feature during this this year's game, and Paramount's Knuckles series is among the lineup.

This trailer follows several recent leaks including episode titles and scene storyboards (spoilers in both links). All that has been officially confirmed about the 6-episode series thus far has been members of its cast, and a rough (and likely incomplete) series premise, where Idris Elba's Knuckles trains comedy relief Wade Wipple (Adam Pally) as a warrior. The series was originally planned for 2023, but had been pushed back to 2024 after its June filming.

Knuckles will appear among many, many Paramount projects either premiering or merely advertising at this year's Super Bowl, with Paramount themselves holding the broadcast and streaming rights to the football game. If you want to catch the trailer at its earliest, the Super Bowl begins this Sunday, February 11, at at 6:30 PM, ET or 9:30 PM PT, on CBS affiliates, Paramount+ streaming, and NFL streaming.

Honestly, the Knuckles series is one of the few things this franchise has done over the last few years that I am actually dreading. The synopsis we got a while back sounded like the worst possible scenario and I kind of assumed the hush nature surrounding the whole project was Paramount's way of shoving a product they had no faith in under the rug.

Maybe a peek at it will change my mind, but I haven't been this unmotivated about a Sonic product since our first look at ugly Sonic.

I honestly thought the project was cancelled until I was staunchly corrected. xD

Needless to say I don't have the highest of hope for this.

I haven't seen any leaked content but I think it should be good. Will Ken be writing it? :P

Excited to see what happens in the commercials, now I have something to tell someone when they ask me why I’m watching the Super Bowl.

I think I'll watch it after the Super Bowl since I can't watch it that day, but I hope the trailer is great.

    What I expect:

It's gonna be like Sonic Movie 1, with Knuckles and Wade doing road trips and missions, with the overall funny tone.

It's also gonna set up Sonic 3 in some way, as the writers said.

OMG!!! I can't wait to see the first look on Knuckles series. The only problem for me is, I don't have Paramount +.

Also, I do believe what this comment quote is supposedly true.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The movie universe may not be my personal cup of tea, but movie Knuckles has a great personality that could easily carry this mini series. As long as the focus is mainly on him, it should be entertaining enough.
