Last fall, filming for the third Sonic movie began. It was delayed due to various strikes going on in Hollywood, but as soon as deals were reached and the strikes concluded, filming of the movie began almost immediately. That all said, if you're expecting any leaks of footage or photos from the set, you may want to put that to rest. We now know that the film has officially finished filming.
Now, you're probably wondering who it was that confirmed it. Well, it is none other than James Marsden, who plays police officer Tom Wachowski in the Sonic movies. He confirmed it in a new video by The Playlist, where he appeared alongside fellow Knox Goes Away cast member Michael Keaton. It's not until the final couple minutes of the video, however, that Marsden mentions the third Sonic movie.
Of course, just because the filming is done doesn't mean that te movie itself is complete. There's still lots of CG animation to do, and there's also the post-production phase to come later on. This is also the reason why it will likely still be a while before we get a new trailer. However, once we do, it is very likely that it will have our first look at what the movie will be like. Nevertheless, whenever a new trailer does release, we'll let you know!
