  • Paramount's Sonic 1 & 2 Head Back to Theaters for Regal's Summer Movie Express

    Mid-week matinees for a buck.

    If you're looking to catch Paramount's Sonic films on the big screen again, Regal Cinemas will be bringing about 18 films back each for two-day showings, and each for a dollar... with some caveats.

    As highlighted by SEGAbits, the Regal "Summer Movie Express" promotion is aimed at families looking to occupy some mid-week time, I.E. the showings are limited to the kid-friendly but working-adult-inconvenient times of Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 11 AM. If, by chance, that fits into your schedule AND you happen to have a Regal theater nearby, the first Sonic film will hit July 16-17, and Sonic 2 on the following week, on July 23-24. The promotion also includes the opportunity to pick up discounted kid-sized snacks for the show.

    Beyond Sonic, the lineup features... recent-ish family films across Dreamworks, Illumination, Paramount, and Sony.

    A Summer Sonic matinee on a hot July day in an air conned cinema with Tango Ice Blast and sweet n salty popcorn...yes! yes! And yes again!

    YAAASSSS!!!! I need to rewatch these movies in theaters again.  It was such a great experience for me!

    I didn't get to see them in theaters, so I'm glad this will give me that opportunity. The movies were amazing and we have Sonic 3 to look forward to!

    Kinda smart for those who haven't seen the movies in theaters, and they want to catch up on the movies without paying a lot to see them.
