Sonic Superstars was updated to version 1.0.1.5 as of a week ago, so it was only a matter of time before SEGA shifted gears towards updating their other recent Sonic releases, including the Apple-exclusive Sonic Dream Team. Sure enough, SEGA has officially announced earlier today that a brand new update has been released for the Apple-exclusive Sonic Dream Team.
This update makes it so the game is at version 1.1.5. So, if you want to see if your copy of Sonic Dream Team is up to date or not, make sure that the game's version number display is saying 1.1.5. If not, then it's outdated and you will need to update it. If it is though, then obviously you have nothing to worry about and you can continue on with playing the game.
So, what did the update do? As with the Sonic Superstars update, it isn't much. Firstly, the update fixes Red Star Ring collection achievements not being awarded in certain circumstances. The game will now give you a notification of only 2 statues being unlocked, but all of the statues that are missing will now be available in the gallery. So, you shouldn't have anymore troubles with that. Secondly is something that those of you that prefer playing this game with wired controllers will be happy to hear. As of this update, there is now additional support for wired controllers. So, if you were dealing with any hiccups with using the controllers prior to this update's release, the odds are pretty high that they should be gone now that the game is able to support them even more.
The third and last thing mentioned isn't a bug fix, but it is actually a little bit of game balancing. If you recall the second Act of the game's first zone, Scrambled Shores, there was a climbing wall that may have been difficult to reach. Thanks to the new update, there is now a Buzz Bomber enemy nearby that will make it easier for players to reach that climbing wall.
So, that's everything! As previously mentioned, there wasn't really much done to the game. Nevertheless, it's highly unlikely that this will be the last update that Sonic Dream Team will be getting. The game is still very new, it was released just a month ago, so SEGA is likely still all-in on post-launch updates. Whenever Sonic Dream Team gets updated again, especially if the update adds new content, we'll be sure to let you know!
