Sonic Guy, long standing member of the Sonic Stadium Message Boards, brought us to some interesting news that THQ has revealed the arrival of the third instalment of Sonic Advance.
Delving deeper, we found this statement from an unknown source:
---
"THQ announces a co-publishing agreement with Sega Europe for five upcoming GBA games, including the previously unannounced games Sonic Advance 3 and Shining Force.
THQ has today announced that it has entered into a Game Boy Advance co-publishing agreement with Sega Europe. The deal will see THQ publishing a number of Sega GBA games in Europe, Australia, and other international territories starting this winter. The games confirmed for inclusion in the arrangement to date include the following:
Shining Force
Shining Soul II
Sonic Advance 3 - (BOIT. See? )
Sonic Battle
Sonic Pinball Party
"Our two Sonic-branded releases, Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2, enjoyed sales of more than one million units at retail in North America according to NPD TRSTS," said Tim Walsh, senior vice president of international publishing, THQ. "We are delighted that our relationship with Sega has expanded to our international territories."
"We are looking forward to working together with THQ for the release of these quality games," added Mike Sherlock, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Sega Europe. "Using THQ's unparalleled know-how with the GBA platform will help us to reach our long-term goals in the shortest amount of time. This partnership not only helps us realize our commitment to expand our overseas presence, but also gives us the opportunity to further strengthen the Sega brand name in the international marketplace."

While this is all freakishly good news, it's odd seeing THQ announce these titles for Europe, whereas Infogrames has been doing the distribution in Europe for some time now. We all know SEGA Europe is to become its own entity and thus detach from Infogrames, but then why go to THQ for publishing when they can do it themselves? It boggles the mind.
The fact that THQ has actually announced these titles on SEGA's behalf seems strange too.
Still, the announcements are all concrete enough. SO - not only do we get a new handheld Sonic experience on our Game Boys, we'll also be getting either a continuation or a port from one of the best RPG series created - SHINING FORCE.
Rumours of a port of the BEST RPG in existence, Shining Force II (no question - NO, don't talk! No question about it!) heading for the Game Boy Advance may be realised with this announcement.
