New Thundercats series?

Finally caught it this morning.

Who is the Tsundere chick?

Pummyra, she was in the original Thundercats but nobody cared about her, she's got a much bigger spotlight this time.

I did enjoy this morning's episodes, especially with the growing gray morality of the Cats.

Why do I get the feeling Panthro will get over his fear of heights in the next episode?

What in the holy mother of FUCK??!!?!??! Ok Cartoon Network let me get this straight, your gonna cancel Thundercats but your still gonna keep Fucking Level Up?! Are you fucking kidding me?! I'm gonna be ROYALLY pissed off if this happens! Don't do it CN!

Well, it looks like Cartoon Network hasn't learned from their previous mistakes of cancelling Good Action shows (Sym-Bionic Titan, Possibly Thundercats) in favor of low-brow, Flash-animated garbage (Problem Solverz, Annoying Orange) that would make even the writers of the newest Spongebob episodes cringe in horror. This really dampened my hopes of Cartoon Network drastically improving, and I'm worried that the Toonami reboot will stray down the same path one of these days. You could argue that Thundercats sold poorly as far as merchandise is concerned, but it's CN's fault for not advertising this amazing show enough!

I'm starting to think that the Executives have some sort of grudge against quality animation, and I wouldn't be surprised if Adventure Time and Regular Show will eventually share the same fate as Chowder and Flapjack: Cancelled in favor of more Live-Action shows.

Maybe their still bitter about CN real flopping hard. But if that does happen not even Cartoon Planet, Young Justice, and Toonami put together will be enough to save CN's image to me.

I'm really not surprised, all the good shows are getting the axe these days, there's a reason I hardly watch television anymore.

I ain't even mad. Why? Because I saw this coming the second I didn't see anymore advertisements for the show.

I'm disappointed because it seems like CN is being really fucking stupid to me. Even more that shows like PowerUp were broadcasted on Cartoon Network in the first place.

I'll be honest when I say I don't know how the ratings are or what all's going on with the executives to where they start axing these shows. But I think it's rather ridiculous for them to axe this show. Is it doing badly in ratings or what? I'd like to hear how this even lead up to this before I really start raging.

Radah! here comes the ratings man to inform you. Yes Thundercats started out strong, and was even going to initially have a 52 episode season but due to the mishap of the early season the toy sales tanked along with the show's ratings. We on Toonzone knew Thundercats was cancelled long before you guys did when we heard it wasn't picked up for more episodes at CN's upfront a few monthes back.

I'd say the show started out too weak to really have made an impact, hence why the show was cancelled.

Anyways the reason Level Up has lasted so long despite it's balls ratings is because live action is significantly cheaper than animation which is why CN continues to pull more live action shows (some of which I didn't think was too bad but didn't have a place on cartoon network). Steve Snyder (top CEO at cn) is probably te one you should direct your hate to since this all started with him.

Okay, now this settles the rage a bit.

So would that be a result of their lack of advertising the damn show? Because really, I'm starting to build strong desires to punch executives who don't advertise a show enough or botch it to keep it afloat.

Of course, it's all about saving money.

Not saying that it's bad to save money, but Steve Synder needs to get through his head what he's leading and realize that Cartoon Network is a place for cartoons, not live action shows. I'm okay with occasional live action movies, but I'd expect the live shows to be on either Disney or Nickelodeon. I get the feeling that's what he's trying to make the network into.

I take it he's not being looked at very favorably by many viewers who know about him? Or is it the opposite?

Oh CN advertised it alright for probably the first 7 episodes each one would get a weekly ad and as said the launch event brought a lot of thunder (pni). 2 million viewers but it just couldn't keep up those ratings. And the toys sold terribly.

As for Snyder, we at Toonzone hate him too but we eventually gave up when we realized how futile it was.

And the toys sold terribly.

It didn't help that most of the toys were pretty awful looking.

Yeah, that's Bandai's fault. I don't know what CN was thinking when they hired them.

That's probably because they're wasting their time advertising Level Up, which is receiving piss poor ratings by the way.

The fact that Andrew W.K. is a brony now totally makes me want to watch DESTROY BUILD DESTROY.

Which has been approved for another season.

Oh, wait... no it doesn't.rolleyes.gif

...Well fuck.

Level Up is balls. Total Drama sucks. And Young Justice is the only thing I really give a fuck about on CN anymore.

Man this blows harder than a pornstar with a dry mouth.

What makes it worse is that it ends after such an intense episode, it's CN is fucking with us.

WWHAAAAAATTT?!

What the fuck is wrong with the executives? Who the hell...you know what, just fuck these people. Replacing cartoons with live action shows, and doing away with cartoons. These people are running the wrong network.

Studio 4 C doesn't come cheap, this would have had to be a phenomenon to survive given CN's typical spending. Can't say I'm sorry to see it go, really just seemed like a bunch of money thrown at a thoroughly unremarkable script. It also came off as rather cloying, basically amounting to Avatar combined with Avatar.

The show better not be dead... 'cause shit just got real.

But no, let's pour money into terrible shows like Johnny Test, Level Up and Total Drama rather than continue a genuinely good show.

That's the thing, those shows are dirt cheap. All the licensed Canadian stuff is just a bunch of motion tweened chicken scratch and live action with no name actors like Level Up, well I wouldn't be surprised if those shows' production budgets were smaller than their advertising budget. Heck, destroy build destroy is just a bunch of crap bought off a scrap yard, some pyrotechnics and a bit of TNT, and a few handymen. They really just make these shows to pad the day in the hopes that kids will just watch whatever's on.

Hey, here's a Johnny Test drinking game: Every time there's a sentence spoken normally till the last word which is then screamed for no reason, take a drink.

I'm really perplexed as to why you guys don't just torrent buy the shows they want off itunes instead of bothering with TV.
