Wow after the awesome work on #25's cover all these follow up issues to the arc just pale in comparison, well they always would've but it just shows more this way.

I spot enerjak with fingers. I guess we can cross Knuckles off the possibles for being Enerjak list.

No...? There's a lot more leaning towards it being Knuckles. =/

I somehow knew the 4th cover would include Silver and Enerjak duking it out. This is getting remenicent of the 4th cover of the Knuckles arc.

I'M OFFICIALLY PUMPED FOR THIS!!!

The anticipation for what the "Genesis" arc is going to be is making me ache in mah boots. Seriously, I'm excited for this.

Meanwhile, the Silver arc is looking pretty cool too, although those weirdo corpses of the characters on the wall is kinda too far. ._.

Psswaahhh, you think that is dark when the comic has had darker moments? (and by comic, I mean both SU and the main comic)

Chances are they'll all be rescued in the end because what would be the point of showing them to the reader if they have no resolution? (Though King Shadow at the end of M30YL is an exception.) Not to mention a few of them were Sega-Sonic characters so Sega probably wouldn't let them stay like that (even if they're alternate versions of the characters.)

I own that original inked page!

It's buried somewhere in my parents basement. :(

Question for all you Archie regulars: How do they package the subscription comics? Are try still shrinkwrapped with a flimsy board and the cover is exposed beneath the plastic? Also, can anybody tell me the ideal time to buy a subscription so I can catch issue 224 onwards? I just want to get the Genesis saga and don't want to walk all the way to the comic store every month.

They just pack them in a plastic bag now. No cardboard or inserts. The address/information is printed on the bag itself. I'd imagine the perfect time for subscribing to the Genesis saga would be shortly after 223 releases. They usually get subscription orders in relatively fast. Edited by chaoscontrol14

Cool, thanks for the info. Is the bag see through? Or would I have the luxury of having the contents of the bag hidden, aside from the archie comics return address. Sorta like when one buys porn, expect instead of porn it's a Sonic comic (though some issues get rather close to becoming porn).

I really wonder how Silver is going to take down Enerjak. I mean, the guy has some skills, but...he's fighting friggin' Enerjak. No doubt some outside force will intervene just like every other Enerjak battle in the comic's history. The guy's just too powerful to be taken in a standard fight.

It's see-thru.

You're welcome! The bag is see through. You can see both sides of the comic very clearly. Edited by chaoscontrol14

haha! cool, okay, no problem. Guess I'll have some 'splainin' to do when the fiancee picks up the mail, but it'll be worth it for some sweet cover art and a potentially great story arc.

Holy fuck that is scary as shit!! Kill it!

Now I know why SEGA are so tight fisted with their restrictions on characters, I'd be pissed as hell if Archie portrayed my character with hands like that!? :o

I always though it was official Knuckles just had fists rather than fingers?

That picture came out before Sonic Adventure debuted internationally, so Sega of Japan wasn't as much of a powerhouse in deciding in what was canon. You can also factor in Penders being "unconventional" and getting to do a lot of things his way before being given "strict" character designs, and It wasn't until Sonic Adventure that there was a universal Sonic design.

As to whether his hands actually look like that, outside of fans wondering, the higher ups seem to not care about the whole hand ordeal, as to my knowledge.

Knuckles' hands have never been revealed by Sega in game canon so he might as well have fingers. It doesn't really matter if he does or not. The reason he removes his mittens in that issue is because his dad revealed to him that other Echindas don't in fact have spikes on their hands. Just spiked gloves.

This discussion of character's hands reminds me how the Werehog has no gloves yet when he changes back to Sonic, the gloves come back as well as the Werehog's cleets disappear.

Such a strange concept those gloves are.... :o

Well, well, well, what have we here.

Issue 225 will have a variant cover, according to IGN. It's pretty spoilerific... no, REALLY spoilerific, so only click the link if you want to know.

Link to cover. Again, spoilers.

This is some pretty heavy stuff right there. It says "major character" too so who knows how this will go down.

So, who bites the bucket? It's not going to be the original Freedom Fighters because they are seen thorough the Genesis teaser images, which happens after this issue. The hand looks masculine, so I doubt it's a female character either. Take your bets now!

I'm going with Geoffrey, fyi. He felt remorse from Naugus's actions in 221, and this will lead to his sacrifice, I bet.

Good find. I'm gonna color this. That looks epic. What if that's Nicole's hand? Or Mina's. I dunno. It looks epic nevertheless.
