Okay, so I'm at the theatre with my best friend as she works on a perspective drawing assignment. As the senior art student, I did what I had to do: Ignore her completely and draw Sabrewulf from Killer Instinct. Photobucket's derping out on this expensive cell phone, so uploads it is.

I love how you captured the build of characters so well. They all have a sense of weight and a great sense of prospective and proportion. It's all really professionally made and a real treat on the eyes.

 

To speak for your latest work, I really enjoyed what you did with Saberwulf, especially being a fan of the Killer Instinct series. Not only does he look accurate, but it's really awesome that you had so much fun with him. Accurately drawn Saberwulf: Awesome! Artwork like this serves me as a huge reminder an image doesn't need to be in color at all to look absolutely beautiful. You've mastered linework, shading, and the characters' proportions; in fact this looks like something I'd see out of an official storyboard!

A little WIP, but I keep laughing as I work on it so I figured it'd make you laugh too. My brother is gearing up for Furry Weekend Atlanta in March and has been split on what to put on the ID badge you're issued by the volunteers: "Jurassic Lizard Superstar Hero" or "I Have No Idea What I'm Doing." He was leaning toward the latter but afraid it'd be over the character limit, so I decided to do a badge featuring his costume character with the phrase on it myself:

 

 

I'm split on whether or not to further meme it up with Battlefield 4 imagery, or at least the franchise's "ice blue w/random orange lights" scheme, because he's been playing that recently and the amount of times he's encountered people who don't know how to fly helicopters would be enough to invoke PTSD in anyone.

Sooooooooooo! I felt I was getting rusty, so I asked you folks to give me ten suggestions for Sonic characters doing or wearing something so I could sketch them out.

Naturally the replies were ridiculous, so the characters are looking annoyed. <3

Soooooooo I found this girl and her art, and I'm like, "Damn son! I need to get my digi painting and color theory skills up," so I've been painting things over the last two days. It's actually been really fun and not-tedious doing it this time around, so maybe I'll be consistent in getting into Photoshop and just throwing color around like a chimp:

So yeah, I did like two commissions over the past few days for a more-than-generous friend. They were actually really satisfying to do, as they're gonna keep me busy until I get back into school, and I actually earned money for something I did myself! 8O So I might as well stop pussyfooting and post up some prices soon.

 

 

A really rough and dirty painting for the commissioner's friend of his albino fox character who for some reason still has purple eyes.

 

 

A flat-colored drawing of my hedgehog who I've been trying to keep under wraps for, well, ever because people are judgmental, fighting with his martial arts cat Kou (did I mention this guy loves martial arts?), based on this pose because fuck if sheltered ol' me knows what fighting looks like. \o/

I promise! If I can get far enough, maybe I can create an animatic out of it tomorrow. That'd be a huge step.

Yeah, the only art I've been doing recently has basically been one single logo, but I did a little development in the midst of it all.

 

So the client was like, "I need some dogs drawn," and I was like "lol easiest money in the world," so I made these:

 

 

Different breeds and different poses to give her choices. She eventually settled on the dalmatian and basset hound pair:

 

 

Redrew a cleaner version in green which then went from this:

 

 

to this:

 

 

It overwhelmingly features her corporate colors as a first pass, but she requested changes to a few of these for the final version:

 

 

It was a great experience doing this and hopefully will lead to further work. x3

So SSMB. Here is the Indian Giant Squirrel:

 

 

It's exactly what it says on the tin: a three-foot (including tail) squirrel living in India. Now, I hate squirrels. Squirrels are assholes. They hog resources from other animals, they nest in your attic, they will actually kill and eat birds, and after awhile they get bold and don't give a shit about human intervention. Squirrels are awful beings that no Disney film can reinvent for me at all.

But this guy is, regardless, beautiful. So I made a quick character out of him. But since squirrels are jerks, I made him a grumpy one:

 

 

I may give him the saddle pattern of that one above than just a back marking because these things have enough variance to make it hard to choose a single scheme. But yes. Here's Grump Squirrel. Don't call him pretty or he'll gnaw your face off.

I had a Duckhunt hype stint after their Smash trailer, mainly because I'm old enough to have remembered playing the game on a crappy box TV with the light gun. I still wanna main them if I get the game. 50-something layers of vectors.
 

 
Clifford was one of my favorite storybooks as a child, so on the night of the author's passing I wanted to paint something to express my general bummed out-ness.

At my SCAD furmeet, I decided to do some African Wild Dog gift art. Turned out I don't know how to draw them from memory, so this was late night practice using Google'd references.
 

 
I redesigned Ty to look like an actual Tasmanian tiger and not a Sonic-ized dingo or something. xP
 

 
My fancharacter and current fursuit abomination Aldagar (Al for short). He's a yorkshire terrier that acts halfway between a dog and an anthro. Think more Scooby Doo than your usual furry. I wanted to use some rainbow pack of permanent markers I found for practice.
 

My newest fancharacter and older fursuit abomination Claudio, who takes very little aside from his love life seriously. Also hates when mammals are intriqued by his avian quirks. More marker practice in general. Dumped the "early Pokemon art" white highlights. xP
 

And finally, small painting practice I did today upon waking up. It was gonna be a Werehog (imagine that), but I said "screw cleats" and decided to use the simplest thing in the franchise I could think of as the guinea pig instead.
