RUMOR: Sonic 'Fall Guys' Game is Called "Toys Party", Features 32-Player Matches

The rumor mill continues to churn this week, as speculative details have been published surrounding the supposed 'Fall Guys' style Sonic mobile game that is in development. According to the latest gossip, the name of this free-to-play game - internally dubbed "Project Toys" - will be officially titled "Sonic Toys Party" and release in Summer 2024.

Insider Gaming claims that it has seen "internal videos" that showcase the game in development, and "shows various Sonic characters battling it out in 32-player matches. Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Knuckles, Eggman, Amy, Metal [Sonic] and more can all be seen competing in obstacle courses and fighting against bosses, where the last player wins.

"Some matches require players to race to the finish, collect rings, or simply just to survive at the end."

The website also speculates that Rings will play a part of the in-game economy, potentially being used for cosmetic purchases such as costumes, emoji bubbles, dance animations and similar visual upgrades. This area will obviously be where SEGA will monetise the game the heaviest.

What do you think of the name? The game? The rumor in general? As always, let us know in the comments section below.

Sonic Adventre Toy Battle sounds good to me! Lol

As long as its not a shameless money grab like Runners was...it could be fun!

Hm... Cute idea but I do hope that name is just a placeholder...? It isn't very catchy, and the plural "toys" sounds like poor translation

I have to wonder how soon an official announcement is if videos are already internally corculating around

So are all the characters going to be represented as toy versions of themselves, explaining why it's a somewhat level playing field between them?

"Sonic Toys Party" is actually a pretty good title for a "Fall Guys" style Sonic mobile game. Summer 2024 will be a good release for that mobile game.

Also, "Fall Mobians" may not be a good title because of "Fall Guys" title reference.

Definitely do not know how to feel about this. I hope this isn't a Sega "taking one step forward and two steps back" scenario.

Fall Mobians name thing is pretty much a joke but I seriously think they could've picked a more fun name than "Sonic Toys Party".
