A new logo for Paramount's upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film has been revealed. The new logo takes heavy inspiration from Sonic Adventure 2, adding that game's iconic blue and black spikeball as a background to the movie's title. But that's not all!

The logo utilizes a distinct, orchestral version of Sonic Adventure 2's Live and Learn theme, alongside an evil cackle from Jim Carrey. The reveal also reconfirms Sonic 3's December 2024 release date. However, before you all get too excited, I would like to note that Sonic 2's logo reveal utilized Emerald Hill Zone's theme, music that ultimately wasn't in the movie.

On Twitter, to logo reveal came with a hint to the movie's (obviously very Shadow-centric) plot:

As you can see, the Sonic Movie Twitter account has updated its avatar to an "Eggman" logo. You can check it out full size below:

Very nice! I think most of the speculation will be on what I think is Shadow's laugh at the end though.

Man I can’t wait to see the actual trailer for this. Hearing Live and Learn is already a great sign.

Holy cow! A Live and Learn motif! Ohh, it's definitely stirring the pot in the right way.

I wouldn't necessarily get too excited about the Live and Learn tease. Remember hearing Emerald Hill in the Sonic 2 trailer and it appearing nowhere in the film?

Of course, actually having Live and Learn in the movie would be bonkers cool.

I just hope we get to see Sonic beat Robotnik, rather than him trap Sonic and lure him to outer space as in Sonic adventure 2.

It's sa2 oh my god. I figured, with shadow being in a capsule and all, but I wonder how they; 'll handle it this time around. I kind of liked Sonic X's version, but seeing as the layout of the previous movies makes things much more different, I'm excited (and kind of dreadful actually) to see the way they'll go about it. I wonder if maria's going to be in here, what with GUN being introduced and such.

Yay!  Glad to hear Live and Learn in this trailer!  I wonder if they will use the whole song in the movie?

Beats me, but I reckon it’ll be more fitting for the film if they did. I just hope they’ll be a fourth one rather Jim Carry’s part of it or not. Cause I love to witness heroes on the winner’s side, especially Sonic having beaten Robotnik in his own game. Classic.

I’ve always had the idea that Metal Sonic should take over as the main villain of a future film should Carrey retire. Preferably in his Neo form.

I've seen something like that on Youtube, now that you've mentioned it.

The longer this franchise goes the more the people making it seem to recognize how much people want to see stuff they're familiar with from the larger Sonic universe, which is commendable.
