There will soon be a new official hub for the latest Sonic game and merchandise information, direct from SEGA America.

It's called Sonic Central, and it currently isn't much to look at - but soon they will be opening up sections covering 'Global Sonic', 'Games', 'McDonald's', 'Downloads' and 'Community' activity.

Seeings as there will be new Sonic games, the Sonic X anime and McDonald's Happy Meal Sonic toys coming soon to the West, it really feels like SEGA is gearing up to promote the Sonic brand intensely over the next couple of years. Maybe we'll see a return of the glory days of early 1990s 'Sonic Mania'! Wouldn't that be nice?
