As promised, I did go back to all the previous years and catalogued the picked songs. I didn't do this for literally every game but I did for pretty much all the big ones. I'm actually shocked by some of the songs that have never been picked before. The ones that show up every year aren't surprising (some even repeat within the same year due to remixes) and it certainly says something about the ones people always want to make sure get represented in some way every single time.

I'll post the interesting tidbits a bit later. Perhaps when the song selection ends so I can have a complete list for this year, since what I jotted down includes 2021.

Alright everyone, here it is. Because I'm insane, I've compiled a full list of each song everyone has picked since this started and posted it in the spoiler box below. Not every game will be there, of course. I picked all the most popular ones. Plus, I didn’t include remixes since those are kind of impossible to keep track of. I’m only counting the original versions of the songs. Each one has interesting tidbits about them that I’d like to share. It's kind of shocking what songs have never been chosen before, especially when it comes to Sonic Adventure.

Here are also some small things I noticed on the side.

This year is the first year Green Hill Zone has been chosen.

None of the “Good Future” and “Past” songs for BOTH Sonic CD tracks have ever been picked. 

The number of beloved songs from Sonic Adventure that have never been picked still shocks me.

Sonic Unleashed is the only game where people picked any of the event music. It happened more than once too.

Some songs, like Fist Bump, have remixes played every year but not the original version.

The most picked song and the only song that has been picked every single year is Aquarium Park: Act 1. Not even Sonic R, with it’s 8 songs, has ever had the honor of having a song picked every year.

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately - and rather last-minute, I have to announce that we have to push the broadcast of the community playlist until next week (Saturday July 31st/Sunday August 1st). 

The reason for the rather last-minute change is it's become somewhat unfeasible for the Motobug staff to run the two-day stream this weekend, due to several schedule conflicts and personal matters that popped up last minute. Furthermore, in an effort to make the stream even better than last year's, we want to give another week to polish it up and ensure it's up to snuff.

Again, I'm incredibly sorry for the delay to everyone excited for the event. This was a rather last-minute affair, as Motobug Staff just ended up with a string of different things happening that took up priority. 

So the new time and date is:

Saturday July 31st - 9pm BST/4pm EST - 1991-2006

Sunday August 1st - 8pm BST/3pm EST - 2007-2021
