New Sonic Forces - "Enter Infinite" Trailer

Well, that was something. A little off-beat in terms of trailer editing, but...okay. *shrugs* I mean, the absolute worst thing about it to me was that song in the beginning, but otherwise...I got no overwhelming feelings on this, and I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Could this be Eggman running a simulation in which he has the upper hand? Game Land on steroids? For some reason I keep thinking virtual reality whenever this glitchiness comes up, as it seems to be a theme with the antagonists. According to Shadow the Hedgehog's Mad Matrix people can interact with a system Tron-like, so what if Sonic's trapped somewhere while the real attack occurs?

Anyway, add my vote to hoping Infinite's edginess is an act and he's some huge dork. It'd be the ultimate meta to make him a super-ascended Sonic fanboy, like Mark the Tapir but dangerous.

So..that trailer was certainly...a thing. If nothing else, I like Infinite's voice but then Liam O` Brien makes everyone sound fucking amazing. That trailer didn't really tell us anything aside from trying to sell Infinite as "SUPREME ULTIMATE EDGELORD SUPREME", and there's nothing with that...but god, all of this feels like it's being played completely straight rather than in a tongue and cheek way and that scares me.

Never said I disliked it, thought I was lukewarm on it. Some of the music lacked energy and felt forgettable.

I would love it if Eggman essentially MM2 final bossed the Sonic crew. That would make this the greatest story ever.

it all makes sense. SEGA embraces Sonic's identity as nonsensical meme fodder all the time these days, so they're just lettin' Sonic Team go crazy cause they know that'll get them more material.

Sonic has officially crossed the line into comedy, and the series is doing a brilliant metacommentary.

Noting I just love the love hate this fanbase has for any good Sega tries to do. I think the music goes well with villians trying to destroy the world some hate sar sonic game villians with more passion than a tumblr fan fix writer. Eh can't please them all
