Sonic Boom announced (Wii U/3DS)

For all we know, the "Shadow" episode could elaborately troll the detectives by introducing Metal Sonic as Sonic's 'shadow' or sorts. XD.

Shadow rumour/confirmation? Could very well be fake, but you never know. Seems like a random (I don't know of him - so random to me) actor to pick. IMDb in question: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1925154/

Seriously, though, I'm not sure if I buy this. For all we know, the episode title could mean something else entirely, if it's even real. That said, I'd be interested in seeing how Shadow might fit into Boom.

Pet peeve of mine right here. It's "HUD", which is short for "heads up display". A "hub" is somewhere where you can free-roam between the main gameplay. Very, very different things.

It was a typo, hun.

No need for the patronising name. People frequently make a mistake between 'HUD' and 'hub', and your post made perfect sense as such.

Sounds like you need a... hug.

I also need a song for someone to hum.

Granted.

As the years go on, my typing gets worse and worse. I tend to type out other words that just flash through my head. I can mean to write "here" and write "hand," or write "stand" and then write "stove."

Trust me, I long knew the difference between hud and hub.

I agree, as much as I'd like a Sonic/Mega Man crossover on TV, I sincerely doubt they'll be doing that. Heck, there would have to be a new Mega Man show before we could even call that a possibility, and the chances of that happening are slim at best right now.

Smash Bros predicted it! Now all we need is a Ghostly Adventures and Sonic Boom crossover....

Well, I wouldn't have bought it anyway, I mean, "Shadow" is already unoriginal for an episode title, but it's also the only episode named on IMDB, aside from the pilot. Just to be sure, you could get in contact with who is supposed to be voicing Shadow through some social network.

Before we jump to any conclusions about the reliability or otherwise of IMDB, let's take a little look at the credits listed on Episode #4, "Shadow":

Don't trust IMDB.

Thats only just been added. Last night when this news broke they were not there.

The only characters listed were the confirmed characters, Metal Sonic & Shadow, since the news got out the comedians have had their way.

Oh, I think the comedians were having their way long before the news broke.  This merely confirms the principle.

I think the comedians broke the news, really. A terrible thing, what use is a news if it's broken? If it broke it's not new no more.

Well, at least Shadow and Metal are confirmed. (I'm especially excited about Metal)

Though isn't the return of Shadow old news?

In any case, I have to agree that looks pretty fake...Megaman is Capcom, not SEGA- or Big Red Button!, etc.

There's an easy solution to this problem.

Ask the voice actors themselves. Mike Pollock said that one thing the voice actors CAN talk about is if they are in fact in the show/game.

Neither Shadow nor Metal Sonic have been confirmed. IMBD is not a reliable source. Furthermore, Shadow and Orbot share a VA, and Orbot has been confirmed so their VA will be up on the list.

What's the general attitude to the game? It looks pretty sweet doesn't it! A bold new direction for Sonic!

After what happened with Lost World - people are more laid back, as to not get disappointed.

Yeah I'm not super hyped or anything (at least not until we see more at E3) but I'm cautiously optimistic. What I like about this game is that it's doing something that I and many others have wanted from the series for years; multiple playable characters and a great story, and from what we've seen the game itself looks really nice. Not to mention it's made by some ex Naughty Dog developers!

After the underwhelming SLW I'm not getting my expectations too high this time around, but this looks very promising indeed. It'll be interesting to see what SEGA will do if Sonic Boom becomes a hit.

I'm personally real excited for this game. It has about everything I could ask for in a Sonic game: multiple playable characters with their own unique play styles, huge, semi-open world, hub worlds, people to talk to, epic story. I know some people complain that it doesn't look anything like a Sonic game, in terms of both visuals and gameplay, but as long as it's pretty and there's some element of speed to it (Sonic running on water), I'll still be happy with it.

I'm excited for the game, but I'll remain cautious. SEGA is still in charge of the project, so it could go either way.

Multiple playable characters - Possibility of Bad part like SA2 Knuckles part.

Huge. Semi open world. - Too high development cost and damage to Casino business, Sega's last hope

hub worlds, epic story - we don't have many information

This game has nothing to do with a Casino business...

It is not Segas last hope.

Possibility of Bad part like SA2 Knuckles part.

You have seen no evidence of a emerald hunting gameplay.

we don't have many information

Thats right we don't... so why exactly are you making the above conclusions?
