Iizuka: Sonic goes, discovers a new land called 'Lost Hex' meets the deadly six. At the very beginning the Deadly Six are Eggmans minions, as story progresses, they betray eggman, take over his plans, going to destroy the world. Sonic & Eggman team up to take on the enemy.

Missed the question for Hoshino... but heres the answer.

 

A: We wanted to make a really strong rival for Sonic, so we looked to a really mean look, with red eyes. He needed to be just as fast, but running is for Sonic, we needed a different approach. From there, we created a character whose main part is a jet engine which allows him to keep up.

Q: Are the deadly Six a monster of the week (not quite that but you get the idea).

 

 

Iizuka: deadly Six are specifically designed for Lost World, but just like Shadow was only for SA2, we brought him back, based on your feedback, it's not impossible that they will return for futue games if theres a fan demand.

A: From the beginning because we put in so much time, he was not created as a one time villain, we wanted him to be a permenant villain.
