Ugh I really want the tracklist.  I know most of it will be cut-scene music but I dunno tracklists just really satisfy some weird OCD-esque part of my brain.

I have to say, now that I'm actually playing this game, the soundtrack is growing on me a bit, especially Frozen Factory act 2 (3 on the 3DS version)

I really liked the music in Lost World, honestly I liked the music more than in Colors, Colors' soundtrack aside from a couple of songs didn't really grab me. I did love the main theme of Colors and Tropical Resort and some cutscene music... that was it.

I love the game's soundtrack so fucking much. I've been listening to the music pieces for days now, and here are my five favorites:
5: The Mini Boss theme

4. Frozen Factory Act 3
3. Frozen Factory Act 1

2. Lava Mountain Act 2 and Tropical Coast Act 3

1. Sky Road Act 1

I'm talking about the second part in windy hill zone 4 where the music slows down at the 2d segment.

 

Still the same song, just a later part of it that doesn't show up in the initial section used for Act 1.

 

Though if Act 1 and Act 4 show up as different tracks on the OST I'll take it back, but I'm pretty sure they're one and the same (the full version is played during the 3DS Staff Credits).

Full track list revealed, it's cool to see that they are naming their level themes again. I think my favorite is Thundercloud Acropolis

The track naming I'm fine with, I just need some context. I'll probably end up renaming the track a la Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.

Oh man so glad to see interesting track names.  I kind of expected them for the tracks used in multiple zones, but not generally.  Though I do wish Tropical Coast 3 was just SLIGHTLY more romantic sounding.  I can't get over a song so beautiful having "bottom" in the title lol.

 

Though it bothers me that some just aren't named, like how Tropical Coast, Frozen Factory and Silent Forest all have a single track named "Zone Name - Zone1", yet the rest of their songs all have unique titles.

 

Considering there is no Zone2 etc they could have just called them "Zone Name" like Lava Mountain, but ah well.

 

Curious what the variations on Hidden World are, I thought every Act used the same theme there (other than 2 obviously).  Maybe one is just one that gradually speeds up like the music does in Act 1.

Haha wow, didn't someone actually suggest Honeycomb Highway as Desert Ruins Zone 2's name?

I had called it Honeycomb Havoc, but Highway works better considering the nature of the level. 8U

Welp, I added in the " ...for [level name]" from SA1/2 myself then put these on my iPhone...

 

Windy Hill 1 is officially my favourite opening level track in the series.

 

Past the 2:34 timestamp, it is heavenly. It really feels like there's a ray of light shining right in my eyes, it's wild, it's just... beautiful. I can't express it in words @w@
