what Sakurai retweeted the news that there will be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow.

Maybe he'll take part of the direct for a bit and do another developer direct and show off the characters that were revealed from Olimar to marth. but whatever news we get tomorrow will be okay, been quite dead since we got news on most games. other than cranky being playable.

This is a legitimate complaint though. Mario already has more then enough reps, he didn't need another to clog up the roster.

 

That being said, I am still very happy with Rosalina being there. If I have to deal with one more Mario rep, i'd much rather it be her then anyone else, but that's just because I like Rosalina a lot.

To be honest out of any Mario character they could have added they added one of my absolute favourites there's literally no other Mario characters I want in Smash now thank you world thank you Sakurai.

She may not be my favorite Mario Princess -- still hoping for a slim chance, otherwise better luck next time, Daisy -- but she's definitely a character I like! So I'm happy to see Rosalina made it in! Both her and luma look like a good mix'em up character. Definitely look forward to using her.

Rosetta is Rosalina's Japanese name.

Rosalina functions like a superior Olimar. She summons a Luma using a Special, the color and special attributes of the Luma seem to be decided at random, the Luma can be killed, and some of her tilts and Smashes use the Luma as the attacker with a lot more range than a Pikmin does. Rosalina also has a lot more moves she can use herself - Her Up B, Down Smash, her Down Air and Up Air, and one of her specials that moves certain attacks away from her.

A larger, heavier, more majestic, better Olimar, basically.
