My name apparently comes from the Greek word for "Crown", so somewhat royal.

UD has a few entries, but let's just go for the first:

Greek in origin, I've come to the conclusion that Stephen is just about the coolest male name. Whether it's prnounced 'Stef-an' or 'Steve-en' doesn't matter, it's just awesome.

Steph and Stevie are also the coolest nicknames.

Some famous Stephens include Stephen King, Stephen Fry, and Stephen Hawking.

Yes, I am the best. Thank you and good night.

Kevin means something like "Kind and handsome at birth". It's Irish in origin.

Mark means 'warlike', apparently derived from Mars, the Roman god of war.

I'll ready the cannons, then.

Evidently, Benjamin is a Hebrew name that means "son of the south". I'm not really concerned with what my name actually means, just pleased that it has no apparent religious overtones, like so many names seem to. However, while it is purely coincidental, given that my parents just liked the name, the meaning of my name may be more accurate than ever intended now that I live in Edinburgh, having been born and raised in Nottingham. I am literally a son of the south, in that respect.

Interestingly, my parents were planning on calling me Sarah. They were expecting a girl.

My first name, Brian, means "strength" in Irish, and my last name, according to a German teacher who was our substitute teacher for Japanese while sensei was on maternal leave, means "mountain-dweller".

My middle name obviously being the name of Mary's husband in the New Testament.
