That...sort of says my point that the franchise's 'canon' is very inconsistent, especially if it mentions games that are, as you say, not supposed to be canon. If the game is just for nostalgia sake, then it's kinda not canon.

Charmy has never been to Planet Wisp and again wasn't even in the respective game.

Not in the Wii version yes, but he did make a cameo in the DS version at Planet Wisp.
