    Happy New Year, everyone! You might know that I recently ran through the last year's series of Sonic events (in a word, it was absolutely CHOCKA BLOCK), but it's fair to say that 2023 was also an absolute RAGER for this very website. We've accomplished SO MUCH in the last twelve months, it's kind of easy to forget!

    Starting with the launch of the Sonic Wiki in late 2022, we introduced Sonic News to the forums, added a mobile app, worked on further site/forum integrations leading to a colossal merge in July 2023, re-launched our Rings system and opened the Members' Shop, and introduced new Blogs and Gallery features for the community alongside a soft re-launch of Clubs. That's ignoring the community events we held, such as Sonic Frontiers DLC Achievement runs and the Sonic Musical Spectacular.

    All of this - on top of the colossal influx of news literally every five minutes - helped us reach the BIGGEST audience that we've ever attracted in all of the Sonic Stadium's 23-year history! So I want to thank you all for that, first and foremost.

    But, as busy as 2023 was for us, the ride still isn't over. Last year's site/forum integration work was huge, but it was but the first step in our evolution. We've got more things to do in 2024, and I'd love to take you all along for the ride!

    With that in mind, I've launched a new Sonic Stadium Reader Survey for 2024. I want to hear your feedback on how we did over the last year (be honest!), where the pain points are in terms of your user experience, and how you would like us to address those issues.

    Your feedback was incredibly valuable in helping me set up all of the new features we actioned in 2023, and your contributions here will similarly help shape the future of the Sonic Stadium once again.

    I have a bit of feedback for the Reader Survey,

    In the Survey, the question "Please rank the following social media channels in order of your preference" was mandatory dispite the fact that I have never ever even visited some of those Social Media sites, so I just had to put in numbers randomly for all the ones that weren't X/Twitter. I think it would make more sense for it to be an optional question or at least not require an answer in every row, as the information garthed from that question might not be very accurate If people have to answer randomly to progress the survey.

    That's a fair point - I've edited it so it's no longer a required question, thanks for the feedback!

    I guess it wasn't edited by the time I took the survey. It was still mandatory for me. I did mention it in a feedback thing but since it's already known, just ignore it.

    Also...I doubt my feedback will be helpful, I'm pretty indifferent regarding most things.
