I think what Sonic Team means to say here is "soul-piercing stare". At least we agree that the characters' look is quite 'captivating'... but no! That's how it gets you! Stay away!

    I loved Sonic R as a kid! It was short, but still a great game to me! I was not much into Tails Doll, though, but he was cool in a way.

    I understand that Google Translate is notoriously error-prone when it comes to translating pronouns, so - probably.

    Japanese does not have gendered second-person pronouns, in those cases the translator picks the pronoun that seems most probable.

    I like the art style.

    I was confused about it too, actually. I ended up not thinking so, and Google Translate is flawed. There is also this thing Starry Skydancer said.
