It feels like we've been writing release date stories about Phantasy Star Online on Xbox forever... and finally, after many delays and much waiting, US players can finally go to the store and pick up a copy of Sonic Team's online RPG masterpiece for the Xbox.
The Microsoft console port of the game was originally given a 25 February 2003 release in the West, after successfully launching in Japan on 16 January. However, it didn't materialise, and reports of delays started to circulate until it finally released today in the US. For the UK and Europe, the wait continues however.
Anyway, it should be a great version of the Ragol-exploring multiplayer adventure, with Xbox Live features baked in such as voice chat and broadband support included. Just remember that you will need an Xbox Live subscription in order to access the online portion of the game, on top of SEGA' own Hunter License subscription.
Happy hunting!
