  • First Look at an Upcoming LEGO Sonic Set... Wait, Knuckles Has a Mech Suit Now?

    A more effective way to protect the Master Emerald?

    As the previously revealed LEGO Shadow set prepares to tear up the road next month, we're finally getting our first look at LEGO Knuckles, and... I don't think anyone was expecting it to come in this form:

    Yes, perhaps the character least likely to need a mech suit or have access to a mech suit... or just know how to operate a mech suit... has a mech suit for some reason. Knuckles Planet Robobot Knuckles' Mech Battle releases early next year and will include Knuckles and Rouge minifigs, a big ol' muscly mech for Knux, a glider for Rouge, and a small Master Emerald shrine for $34.99. Despite the poster finding it early, Shadow the Hedgehog Escape officially launches on December 1.

    Though it doesn't quite fit in scale or style, Mecha Knuckles does have a bit of resemblance to the "mech armor" series of LEGO sets for the Marvel and Star Wars lines. So not completely unfamiliar territory.

    Now if only we could get THIS as an Emerald power in Superstars.

    The hell you mean about him being a character to "know how to operate a mech suit"? Did you guys forget about Knuckles piloting the Bitchslap Machine in Sonic Advance 2, or something?

    ...that said, him having a mech is still a weird idea. Who came up with that one?

    I remember that. And then after you beat him you got the cutscene where Knuckles tries to explain himself and Sonic calls him out for letting Eggman trick him AGAIN, to which Knux starts begging Sonic not to hurt him.

    I'm honestly still not sure how I feel about that.

    Ok, so, we need to see how this stands up to the Death Egg Robot in the games, or even Egg Dragoon.

    My head says Tails built it for him to stop any further Eggman escapades with the Master Emerald, but yeh....its lego adding things for the sake of building things.

    Seriously though, looks like Knuckles took a hint from Eggman. After having the Master Emerald shattered one too many times, I'd be upping the security too.

    I just figure Lego!Ivo made it in one of his grand schemes to trick ol Knucklehead again only for Lego!Eggman to be in for a surprise when Lego!Knuckles used it to toss him off the island.

    The LEGO Shadow capsule reminds me a lot of the post-credit Sena capsule from Sonic Movie 2, and to think that Knuckles created a robot that was almost like a death egg robot, only from Knuckles. But I thought Sega forgot that Knuckles exists in the DLC. Lego, but it's cool

    I think Knuckles is underrated. The mech is a strange addition to this set... I think giving the Master emerald a bigger shrine or having 7 towers for the Chaos Emeralds would've been a better decision but hey, good to see old Knux getting to show off his smarts. 😂 he is gullible, but not stupid.

    That's fair; I would've appreciated a more architectural set but if these sets are marketed to younger fans then I can understand why they'd give Knuckles a mech.

    Although if I'm honest, I like Rouge's bat-glider better.

    I guess Lego and Sega are trying to draw in Lego loving kids to the Sonic franchise. I guess a 16 year old like me would appreciate more lore based sets. Just my personal opinion.

    Honestly...would have wish for an entire Master Emerald structure like in SA1... but the mech's kind of cool.
