  • Knuckles Set For Six Episode Adventure In Upcoming Paramount+ Show

Knuckles' new show will be short in length, but probably big in budget.

We may not have a trailer for Paramount's upcoming Knuckles series, but we do finally know how long it will be: six episodes. This news comes to us via the LinkedIn page of the show's script supervisor, Holly Johnson. A "script supervisor" is a person who essentially ensures the continuity of all aspects of a production, from the script itself to things like wardrobe and an actor's actions. According to the page, Johnson had this job for four months, from April to July 2023.

Six episodes might not seem like much, but in this era of prestige television it's become pretty common. These shows typically feature massive budgets per episode in order to facilitate movie-quality special effects and heavily feature movie stars. Given that the Knuckles series stars an expensive fully CG character voiced by a big name movie star, it's not surprising that it would utilize this format.

We do not yet know the length of these episodes. TV shows made for streaming can vary wildly in length, even within the same series. We probably won't know the length of the episodes until the show itself is out, which will be some time next year.

With the SAG AFTRA strike over, it's only a matter of time until we get a trailer and release date for Knuckles. With Sonic 3 still set for next December, that will almost certainly happen in the coming weeks or months.

If there's no trailer at the Game Awards then that will prove that the series has been quietly cancelled for tax write offs.

His spikes go through boulders, that’s why he stays a loner. (Sorry had to) 😜

Jokes aside, I’m curious too, especially how they all just formed an unbreakable friendship. In a way though, it is keeping Knuckles’ core personality in mind with liking to work alone so I’m for it. Hope it’s good!

Well, at least we know how long the series is going to last.  I'm a bit curious about what this show is really going to be about.

    6 episodes, like Loki.

I do wonder if this series is going to be similar to Loki?

"& Knuckles!" hahaha. No but seriously, I'm really curious how this'll be. Would be cool if they'd unveil more about Angel Island and the Master Emerald. Perhaps about the Knuckles tribe n stuff.

One of the synopsis that was floating about was that Sonic, Tails and the Wachoskis were out of town a while and Knuckles is hanging out with Wade, attempting to make him a 'better warrior'.

That would explain it pretty easily and not break their bond.

Probably not that similar. Just in length.

Well, we got nothing at the Game Awards. No trailer, no poster, no cast announcements, nothing. It's pretty much cancelled at this point.

I didn't expect them to show anything at the Game Awards since they never mentioned beforehand that they were going to show a trailer for the Knuckles show.  And the show might still be going on.  It's just probably going to be released much later than we thought.

You guys are gonna find it strange, but I'm actually curious as to how big this budget is than I am the length of the series.

Like how much did each episode cost?

Thats a really good point tbh. I'd hate for it to be a cheap looking series with bargain bucket cgi that detracts from the story
