  • Sonic Superstars "Modern Amy" Promo Skin Now Has Steam Redemption Option

    The last platform shuffles in for a limited time.

    For those concerned that their platform of choice may not offer the option to give Amy time traveling garb, Steam has now been added as an option to the Sonic Superstars newsletter sign-up page.

    However, take note that unlike the other platforms, the redemption code will have a more limited time span, as the sign up page states that it will only be valid October 10-24 (despite the game releasing on the 17th). If you're planning on going with Steam, you'll need to redeem your code ASAP.

    No other platform seems to have a timed stipulation, so those looking to get it on console or another PC storefront later this year are likely safer to sign up now and redeem after October.

    Welp... better late than never I guess? Wonder wtf was going on there.

    Weird that there's a time window though. Can't really parse why they'd do it this way.

    The sa2 shoes were made free eventually, and I predict this will too.

    Considering that it 1. wasn't on Steam alongside the others and 2. no other platform has that stipulation, it's more likely that there's some sort of agreement they had to work out with Valve. Steam supports a lot of promo formats, but "Sign up with external service for a redemption key for a free item" usually isn't one of them.

    The FOMO pre-order is LEGO Eggman, that's on every platform.

    So glad they added this, I remember when the newsletter was on the website, and when I didn't see a Steam option I was worried if it was like a Colors Ultimate exclusive thing

    i think you can get it even if you pre-order the digital edition, but the REAL FOMO is the digital deluxe stuff. PLEASE come as a DLC, PLEEEEEEEASE!(I got the physical so that's why lol) Also, yay, the amy rose skin is available on steam now for those who got Steam edition

    So...why can't I get the skin anymore? It says sign up by Jan. 31, 2024 to get it but I signed up to get a Hong Kong code (to match the version I have for the PS4) the email I received I wasn't eligible.
