The Sonic Amateur Games Expo has opened once again for a 2001 showing. This is the place where all kinds of Sonic the Hedgehog fan games come together and show the community what they're made of. This is the third SAGE to ever take place; the first happened last year, which we missed, but we were able to report on SAGE 2 back in March - you can read that here. I was thinking something like this might happen, so I told my friends yesterday to hold on to their tickets until we hear the official statement regarding this concert. Glad I was on the right track there, so thanks for updating on this matter.

That mural! We’ve got 7 different sections each with what appears to be Trip like ancients using the new Chaos Emerald powers, a black egg (Eggman) in the centre with its influence reaching outwards but has a Bowser looking creature inside, 7 large creatures representing those rescued from bosses but then the whole thing is surrounded by a snake possibly eating its own tail (Ouroboros) representing a cycle? I love lore.

The Superstars short is great, but it feels weird because the characters don't talk. Especially Eggman, it feels like he should talk but they muted him for some reason. The story is more complex than the old mania adventure and origins animations, there's more stuff going, flashbacks, technological gimmicks, lore, etc... I think that a couple of little voice lines would have improved the short a lot.· 2 replies
regardless, I would gladly watch a 30 min 50 ep series of this stuff.
