The Bosses Topic of BBBE'ness

Well i asked a mod to merge these two topic but none are online so i'll just post what i said.

So now that we got through discussing our experiences with the levels lets talk about the Rivals and Bosses. What did you like about them? Which were your favorite, what would you have changed?

Metal sonic:Ok for one i would have upped the difficulty a tad. Seriously that guy was pathetically easy. Also give him some more abilities. Also letting modern get a chance at Modern metal somewhere like a heroes kind of arena would have been cool. Also where's A classic amy reference?

Death egg Robo:This boss was pretty fun for classic. It's pretty sad that this is his only boss battle though. I mean it's fun but very short and easy if you know what to do. A better attack list would have been cool. Like him shooting missiles or lasers at you would have made this a better fight.

Shadow:He was fine, if not tedious on hard mode. The fight itself felt epic. Especially if Shadow gets all the shards. I wish classic fought shadow i green forest though.

Perfect chaos: Really fun and was a faithful recreation of the original. It wasn't as linear as the original. Open your heart just made it all the more heart pounding. I wish though he had more stuff to do though. And you don't even have to boost into him to do damage to him. That annoys me. And the last phase while cool was really dull and simple.

Silver:I would have made this for both classic and modern. Classic fights in soleanna at night during the festival. That would have just been gorgeous. silver throwing in a pattern debris at you would make in interesting along with some other moves. Silver for modern would be the same essentially but in kingdom valley. Although If he was in soleanna at day i don't see why they don't use the highway from the mission in 06. You'd start in the city and go through the highway and end in the forest.

Egg Dragoon: I really wouldn't change that much for this battle. While i think it would have been cool to see classic take him on it was executed perfectly in a modern fashion. I wish the fight actually took place around the amusement park part of eggmanland though. That would have made it even more fun! And no i didn't really want the werehog to return in this battle. It would have been interesting but not needed.

Time eater:Worst boss in the game. No scratch that worse boss in Sonic game history. Seriously that thing is just a Confusing piece of crap! The first time i played this i COULD NOT find the rings. So i died of course. Sonic's friends being annoying the whole thing through , Plus the fact that when you get close to him he'll hit you and get farther away just made me so pissed. And why no second phase? That's a trademark. I mean why not the first phase be Classic sonic while the Second phase is modern. And to top it off the giant ball of fire part is both. (It'd still be a piece of crap though but hey.)And speaking of which It's pretty annoying that this is the only boss they both sonic's share. Seriously They re-created stages for both sonic's so why not bossse? The music is fine. Just not final-bossy.

And lastly my three main gripes. GIVE THEM MORE LIFE,MAKE HARD MODE HARD AND GIVE CLASSIC SOME TIME TO SHINE!Seriously those were really big points to me.

In the end my favorite bosses would be silver, Perfect chaos and Egg dragoon. I play them all the time! So what about you?

I would have prefferd a boss like the egg cerberus or egg devil ray to get in for the Modern era but there nowhere newar as memorable. Also the s3&k egg robo would have been nice.

I was actually thinking earlier that it's a shame they didn't just make a new tileset for the bosses. No modelling - just like those silly Sonic Adventure hacks. Rexture Casino Night to look a bit more like Stardust Speedway, Radical Highway could be retextured to look like the ARK in space, and Tropical Resort... well a bit trickier but amazing what a red skybox and rusty colour scheme might do.

Well, Radical Highway for Shadow's fight kinda makes sense...it was his stage. EDIT: In SA2.
