What stages do you want to see in Sonic Generations?

I would love to see Aquarium Park from Sonic Colors, that Stage in HD would be awesome.

Final Rush from Sonic Adventure 2 would be cool tongue.gif, also, Evil Foundry and Night Palace from Sonic and the Secret Rings.

For Sonic Generations Hubs i hope we get these:

Sonic 1:Green hill

Sonic 2:???

Sonic 3&K:Hidden palace

Sonic Adventure:Station Square

Sonic Adventure 2:???

Sonic heroes: Seaside Gate

Sonic 06:Castle town?

Sonic Unleashed:Spagonia

Sonic Colors:Tropical Resort

Although we'll probably get a HUB per era...

Also we because of that Through the ages trailer I'm lead to believe that the rumor of us getting a secret rings stage as a bonus stage is true. If we get one it will probably get be palace.

Given how the console version seems to be tossing out level theme variety in favor of selecting levels that best represent the game they're from, I can guess that we could maybe expect the level list to look like something like this for the 3DS version:

-Green Hill

-Casino Night

-Hydrocity

-Leaf Forest

-Route 99

-Huge Crisis

-Sky Babylon

Of course, I'd love to see levels like Music Plant or Cyber Track find a way into the game, but this would just be my best bet on what we'll actually be getting, based on the HD version's list. I still wouldn't mind something like this, if done right of course. I'd also love to be surprised and be proven wrong.

Alrighty, more 3DS speculation time! Well, Mushroom Hill was released, and I gotta say.. while it's not exactly the level I would have chosen for Sonic 3 and Knuckles, it ain't a bad choice, given how it comes after the Big Arm battle. Plus, the changes in whether, music, and aesthetics of the level are really some of my favorites from the game, and I just get the feeling both games were mandated to have at least 2 "Hill-themed" levels xD

But anyhow, what do you guys think the other 4 levels will be? I think we could very well be seeing 2 levels from the Adventure games, and 2 levels from the Rush games. I say this mainly because 1) The polls went up to Sonic Adventure 2, and since many levels were left out, I'm sure Sonic Team wanted to give them a second chance on the 3DS, and 2) Aaron Webber said something about how "if a level from a Sonic game from 1999 that you wanted to see isn't in the HD version, it might be in the 3DS version, so keep an eye out for that". Something along those lines anyway. Doesn't seem like a direct confirmation, but I'm willing to bet that's the case. Plus, it seems like a very rounded list to pull levels from. Sonics 1, 2, and 3, Adventures 1 and 2, and the 2 Rush games, as opposed to only 2 of the Advance titles. Here's my guess on the level list:

-Green Hill

-Casino Night

-Mushroom Hill

-Red Mountain (got a decent number of votes for Sonic Adventure, and could serve as the fire-based level, given the appearance of the fire-shield in the game. Plus, it has elements of a construction site, similar to Planet Wisp)

-Metal Harbor (next to City Escape, it's the most iconic level from Sonic Adventure 2)

-Water Palace (since Hydrocity's not in the game, they better put this level in. Plus, Back 2 Back is the music of this level. 'nuff said)

-Sky Babylon (a sky-ruins zone, similar to Sky Sanctuary. Plus, wasn't it one of the last levels in Rush Adventure? It'd be a perfect final zone)

That's my guess, anyway. I'd be pretty happy with something like this myself, given the ground it covers. It'd be nice to get 9 levels though, like the console version...

@ EXshad: That sounds like quite a sensible idea actually. The Rush games are far more popular than the Advances, and there Rush stages would be a good representation of Modern stages. I'll make the same sort of prediction/want list as you:

S1 - Green Hill

S2 - Casino Night

S3K - Mushroom Hill

SA1 - No idea what to expect here. Emerald Coast? But Green Hill is already covering that theme on the 3DS completely. Maybe Sky Deck or Red Mountain

SA2 - Metal Harbour or an Ark Stage

SR- Water Palace. Best stage in Rush, music is very popular and it's a water level yay!

SRA- Sky Babylon for it's sheer awesome, or Coral Cave for it's sheer awesome.

Why nobody is counting Colors? sad.gif

Because it's already on the console version, is the latest Sonic game released and simply doesn't seem likely when you consider there's only 7 stages. I'd love to see Aquarium Park, but I already played it on my DS and Wii less than a year ago. And this year I'm going to be playing a level from it on my 360.

The word "locations" is pretty vague. I wouldn't count on this amounting to much more than the extra missions in the nine zones we know about needing to be unlocked, and "items" probably just means stuff to mess around with in the hub/menu. Not that I'd say no to something better, obviously.

Unlockable locations will be extra acts, and bonus items will be things you buy from the shop.

How are you sure? I know they said they're were 9 areas, but considering they're using the word "locations" it sounds like new zones...

Also, if it is new zones, they probably won't be quite as long as the original 9 areas...

Unlockable locations, eh? Hmm... Oh, I know! As a throwback to Sonic Adventure 2, if you collect all the Red Rings, you can visit Green Hill, but remade in 3D! Genius!

...Waaaaaaaaaaaaiiit.

Ive been thinking about the 3DS version, and while I still think it's stupid to use levels from Sonics early 3D outings in a completely 2D game, it seems like it really is Emerald Coast...sigh

Anyway, with that knowledge I'd like to make a new guess about the stages in the 3DS version:

Green Hill

Casino Night

Mushroom Hill

Emerald Coast

Metal Harbor

Egg Fleet OR Water Palace (If they use a Heroes stage it'll be EF, if they use a Rush stage it'll be WP)

Night Palace

How are you sure? I know they said they're were 9 areas, but considering they're using the word "locations" it sounds like new zones...

Also, if it is new zones, they probably won't be quite as long as the original 9 areas...

Here's what people don't seem to get. Making the assets for a new zone takes a shit load of time. If SEGA is going to go through the effort of making assets for a new zone, its because they're making a new zone, not some half-assed unlockable "location."

What Hub worlds do you think they'll use for each stage if they do them?

Here's what I think:

Green Hill- Well Green hill

Chemical Plant- probably that city we saw in the background of the original

Sky Sanctuary- Hidden Palace zone

Speed Highway- Station Square. There is no better choice

City Escape- Possibly that place where the goal ring is?

Seaside Hill- Sea Gate

Crisis City- Soleanna?

Rooftop Run- Spagonia

Planet Wisp- probably some forest on the planet. Idk I'm lost on this one.

Because, not only have a total of nine zone been officially confirmed, but all the assets for the demo list these same nine stages.

If these unlockable locations are actually new locations and not just extra acts, there's only one stage that I want...

Sonic-and-the-Secret-Rings-304-6.jpg

Like Blue Blood said, this is extremely unlikely. Oh well. I'm just going to have to pray that this beautiful stage makes it in as DLC. Again, unlikely. sad.png

I think those are pretty cool. But I'm wondering if the hub worlds will be like any of things we posted at all due to the screenshots.

There are no hub worlds, just interactive menus. We've seen screenshots of these already.
