I'm sold on this game.. especially after this trailer. I really hope that this is a good as many are saying it could be since we've been waiting forever for it to drop!

I swear, every time I see this box art my distaste for it grows. I dislike the "Bioshock included" part as much as the next guy, but why does the box art have to look so... horrible? I mean... Elizabeth isn't even on the cover. What about Songbird? They could at least put the floating city on the cover.

Irrational, I am disappoint.

Thank God. There are so many games I want in February that I was worried I wasn't going to be able to afford this when it came out. I'm actually glad it got delayed another month.

American box art for games and films seems always to need to feature the protagonist(s) of the product. Needless to say, this has lead to some awful cover art over the years (see: Ico).

I chose #4 on the reversible cover poll without hesitation, and it seems to be leading at the moment. Polling ends December 19th.

Design #1:

Design #2:

Design #3:

Design #4:

Design #5:

Design #6:

#1 is terribad, #2 is okay but not massively suited to the task, #3 isn't great but is hardly as bad as #1 and is only marginally worse than #2, #4 is superb and deserves the win, #5 is better than the first three but not as good as #4, and #6 I don't think is well suited either so I'd rank it alongside #2.

In summary: 4 >>> 5 >>> 6 = 2 > 3 >>>>>>>>> 1

IDK. Number four look really great as piece of (concept) art, but I don't think it would suit a box art very well. More of a collector's edition maybe?

I actually wouldn't mind if the box art was this:

bio-box-art.jpg Simple, clean, and it makes someone wonder what this game is about.

It's a competition for reverse side box art, not the side that'll be out by default. #4 is by far the best reversible art there.

Color me satisfied, I think that the winner was clearly the best artwork of the lot and I look forward to reversing the cover as soon as I get it. :)

Not directly related to Infinite, but I played and beat BioShock for the first time after Jez gifted a free copy to me, and it was an amazing experience. What contributed to my enjoyment was how I knew nearly nothing about the game before I started playing it. I didn't even know about the setting or what the environment was - I either just luckily avoided any information about it before, or I encountered details years ago but did not remember. I went through the entirety of the game not knowing what was around each corner, and I was blown away within the first ten minutes of the story. I'm just about to wrap up a second playthrough in which I collected everything there was to get (audio diaries, plasmids/gene tonics, all little sisters and weapon upgrade stations).

As for Infinite, I'm holding off for a discount sometime in the future, since I'm eager but patient enough to play it. I'll be trying to avoid as much information about it as possible post-release, since I liked playing through the first game without knowing of what was to come (although I already know about Infinite's brand new setting and some of its core characters and creatures, so I still have some expectations unlike with BioShock). Unfortunately I am reluctant to pick up BioShock 2 due to its mandatory usage of GFWL and activation limits that Infinite thankfully lacks.

dat .1 difference.

"The game looks really dated tech wise on the consoles and has trouble maintaining a framerate with muddy textures, the PC version is smooth crisp and clean. +.1 points awarded
