New LEGO Sonic The Hedgehog Sets Leaked Featuring Super Sonic, Maria and More!

Can't believe it's been a solid five months since the last LEGO Sonic wave! And while we got some important additions to the line, like Shadow and Knuckles, it's pretty clear we're ready for new sets to satiate our need for plastic bricks!

Luckily with the summer season steadily approaching, we won't have to wait much longer! LEGO influencer PenPlays managed to get the inside scoop on three new Sonic sets, and they're quite substantial, with unique twists on some old classics!

Note that we have no definitive word on piece count or price point on any of these sets.

First up, we have Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine! This set includes a nice build of Angel Island's signature alter to the Master Emerald... with no Master Emerald? Where'd it go?

You can see in the middle of a shrine, there is a black platform and grey supports meant to hold something else, most likely the Master Emerald included in December's Knuckles' Guardian Mech. So make sure you grab that big, red fighting machine to fully complete this diorama!

This set includes the same Amy Minifigure featured in Wave 1 of LEGO Sonic, but also new Knuckles Minifig sporting an angry scowl! The real star of the show though is a pretty large mini-build of the Egg Robo, adding a third figure to this unique set!

You can even launch grapes at him! Charming!

Next up is Tails' Adventure Boat. Another Green Hill set? Really? May be so, but the unique build more than makes up for the miniature set piece. We get a new Badnik build in the form of Jaws, and two minifigures! First we have Sonic, thankfully in a lifejacket to support his deathly fear of water. Secondly, there's Tails with a new winking expression to match the winking Sonic from previous sets! You even get an orange Speed Sphere!

Let's appreciate the boat, though! Its a long, stylish sports boat proudly donning the name of the Sea Fox II. That's right, LEGO has created a brand new iteration of the Sea Fox from Sonic Triple Trouble! Talk about a relative deep cut!

And do my eyes deceive me, or does that handle on the front use chrome bricks? You don't see those every day!

Last, but certainly not least is the one I'm sure is gonna sell out real quick! It's Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster! Eggman is back, sporting a souped up version of his classic Emerald Hill boss from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, going up against the very first Super Sonic minifigure! Complete with a yellow Speed Sphere!

Additionally, you get Shadow, alongside all new mini-builds for an Egg Pawn and a G.U.N. Beetle!

But uh... computer. Enhance.

Why, it's a printed piece of MARIA! That's right, Maria is (kind of) in this toyline! Who would have thought?

Needless to say, this set is going to be a highlight of this wave. But what do you think is the best of this Summer leak? Are you excited to take on the Egg Drillster? Or are you ready to go on an aquatic adventure onboard the Sea Fox II?

...Maybe not that last part. Models do not float.

Aw man, they did not even include anything like a Gun Soldier that could shoot Maria! Not that it is necessary, of course.

I didn't buy any previous sets... but this is tempting.

Guess there are only 4 Chaos Emeralds in Lego Sonic world. The Master Emerald was probably already stolen while Knuckles had his back turned.

And the Sea Fox II reminds me of the boat from Sonic Rush Adventure.

Ah yes. The most awe-striking, most nerve-racking, most climatic Super Sonic battle in all of hedgehog history

Fascinating how these sets mix some comparatively faithful adaptations and others which are rather more radical.

Can't wait for the Super Sonic one! Im a bit dissapointed that the machine that Super Sonic will be fighting is the egg driller , the first boss from Sonic 2. (also i support the opinion that there should be a maria set with maria and a gun solidier)

I haven't bought Legos in ages but these all look neat! Is that little work area in the Egg Drillster set supposed to be for Eggman? Idk it seems weird for him to have a photo of Shadow with Maria. Would've been super cool if it was a Lego Gerald instead to recreate the iconic Maria & Gerald photo!

Maria... this is what you wanted, right...? To be immortalized in Flat Tile 2X2 (no. 734)...?

Shadow I beg of you, please do it for me...For a better toy line! For all the people who live on that planet...Give them a chance to buy legos...Let them live for their builds. Shadow, I know you can do it.

Out of these three, I think the one I'd spend money on is Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine. Ancient shrines with legendary crystals are my jam, and speaking of jam, those grape pieces look pretty delectable.

(Disclaimer: Lego parts are a choking hazard)

No wonder Bro was at Aldi. hope he doesn't get mad at the fact they don't have actual legos, just cheap knock-offs

To be fair, Legos in the 90s didn't have nearly as wide a range of colors as we have in the modern day. I know this because my house was full of them back then.

I still regret donating nearly all of my Bionicle pieces to the church yard sale. I kept a few MOCs around that have sentimental value (such as a Toa design that actually won a Lego Magazine contest; I did a Toa with a tail and a cat head made up of a Vahki head and two opaque black Bohrok eyes, which tells you how long I've been into anthro), but if I'd realized that Lego would literally never make any of these special pieces ever again (they literally encase the molds in concrete and bury them so they can't be stolen and ripped off), I'd have kept them around. Same with those old DS games that I traded in to GameStop without even considering how much money they'd be worth in a couple decades.

Holy crap these things look amazing. I cannot wait for the Super Sonic one. I'm so hyped. I've been waiting for a Sonic Lego collab forever. My hopes were up during the Lego Dimensions phase but this is such an exciting time.
