Welcome to the topic for discussing the current incarnation of the officially licensed Roblox game: Sonic Speed Simulator... Reborn! A revamped version of the original game, this iteration of Speed Simulator contains more quests, more mechanics and of course, more characters.

Fp1jTwDWYAElWQL.png

For those not in the know, Speed Simulator is a MMORPG-esque experience where you run around, collecting Chaos Orbs to increase your level, and go faster as a result. The higher the level, the more locations and perks you can unlock, from zones like Hill Top and New Yoke, to boss raids against Dr. Eggman.

To level up further, you collect Chao from new locations by spending rings, and then eventually, work your way up to using Red Star Rings for Fast Friends, which can help bolster your stats to insane new levels! You can even level up individual characters now, with their own unique perks to make them more than skins.

TRADING is now added as well! If you want to help a friend or give them that skin they've been searching for, you can perform trades, and levels carry over!

If YOU need a leg up if you just got started, hell, you can even DM me, and I'll give you a pet or two to get you started!

latest?cb=20231110213452

And of course, like any massive multiplayer online experience, there are weekly events, each with their own unique characters to get with only a limited amount of time to get them! And I, as a person who unlocked every character so far am here to report on each weekly event, run down the objectives needed to complete them, and my tips to complete them! So stay tuned to this space for tips and tricks to get characters quick and painlessly!

The spoilers below contain the tips to complete each event!

CURRENT EVENT: WAVE THE SWALLOW

Spoiler

Pickup 100000000 Rings: If you need to do something else, you can easily use Autorun once you reach level 40 and let your character run by itself to collect Rings. Just make sure you press a button/key every 18 minutes to avoid being kicked out of the game. Or if you wanna be done fast, run around Lost Valley or Emerald Hill, as their routes house plenty of Rings!

Perform 500 Hoverboard Boosts: To boost on an Extreme Gear, it consumes a set amount of your boost gauge. To get gauge back faster, instead of getting rings, you are doing tricks in midair. Find a nice open space... or at least hug yourself in a nice confined wall and get into the rhythm of jumping, tricking, boosting the moment you hit the ground and repeat. Equip a Fast Friend, character, pet or UGC with a Stamina boost to make the boost gauge hold boost for longer.

Gain 250000 Rail Grind Points: It's a long process, but at least its simple. You gain Rail Grind points by... well, grinding on rails. The best place to do so is New Yoke City, which has tons of rails to go around. When you spawn in New Yoke, you'll find a building just behind the Mr. Dr. Eggman statue that has a rail that nearly loops around. Grind on that rail, and be prepared to jump back around once you reach the rail's end to keep going until you get enough rail points.

Destroy 250 Badniks in an Extreme Gear: Destroying Badniks with a hoverboard is tricky due to the usual swaths of Badniks being airborne, and thus tricky to aim a boost towards. You can easily find grounded Badniks around Green Hill and Cyber Station however to boost into.

Defeat Jet the Hawk 5 times: In the Metal City Skatepark, there is a ring portal allowing you to instantly teleport into a race with Jet. Simply get first place to earn a credit towards this objective.

CURRENT RACE SHOP CHARACTERS: RACESUIT CLASSIC AMY, RACESUIT CLASSIC KNUCKLES, RACESUIT CLASSIC TAILS, RACESUIT CLASSIC SONIC

Spoiler

Tips for getting more race tickets:

- Do your free spins on the roulette every 3 hours. You may be lucky to get a temporary triple buff to your ticket output!

- Surprise NPC racers like Metal Sonic or Jet grant you more race tickets if you beat them in the race.

- The more people in a race, the higher the number of tickets you get if you reach 1st place. But there is a risk. If you lose, the tickets you get are also lower. So be confident in your racing skills and remember the optimal routes before joining a heavy server.

- Keep Auto Join on to never miss a race.

- Have magnet or stamina perks equipped for better performance in races.

Spoiler

ZEBRA SONIC AND CHEETAH SHADOW

Spoiler

Collect 2000 Chaos Orbs: If you need to do something else, you can easily use Autorun once you reach level 40 and let your character run by itself to collect Chaos Orbs. Just make sure you press a button/key every 18 minutes to avoid being kicked out of the game. Or if you wanna be done fast, run around Lost Valley or Emerald Hill, as their routes house plenty of Chaos Orbs!

Gain 30,000 Rail Grind Points: It's a long process, but at least its simple.

Perform 500 Hoverboard Tricks: Have an Extreme Gear in your inventory and go to Hill Top Zone. There will be a sea of clouds your character can jump into, and thus infinitely bounce off of. Just jump in with your Extreme Gear and mash the jump button/key to perform tricks. Do this 500 times, and the objective is yours!

Destroy 600 Badniks: There are tons of Super Badniks in Emerald Hill Zone. Make sure you have strong enough Chao to take Badniks out in one hit, and then jump on a flying vehicle like the Tornado or Fang's hovercraft to loop around the map, and gun down any Badnik you see!

Get 300 Boost Seconds in Races: Make sure you are in a race to gain boost seconds. When you spawn in a race, you can boost in the queue, which still counts to your total. To have longer boosts, equip pets, trails or characters with magnet or stamina effects. With magnets, you'll have an easier time with boosts, or simply make the bar last longer with stamina. The best map to have consistent boosts is either Emerald Coast, City Escape or Metal Madness, so make sure you vote for them in the race queue. DO NOT USE METAL CITY, cause Extreme Gear boosts do not count.

TUXEDO SONIC

Spoiler

Complete 10 Races: Make sure you have Auto Join On in the Race Queue, and influence the voting of the next track by clicking on the location's thumbnail. The fastest race is Green Hill, and the longest is City Escape. Try to influence the vote to either Green Hill or Metal City to make this objective go by the quickest.

Destroy 500 Badniks: There are tons of Super Badniks in Emerald Hill Zone. Make sure you have strong enough Chao to take Badniks out in one hit, and then jump on a flying vehicle like the Tornado or Fang's hovercraft to loop around the map, and gun down any Badnik you see!

Gain 20,000 Rail Grind Points: It's a long process, but at least its simple.

Get 50 Experience Hoops: New Yoke City is ripe with Experience Hoops, look above to see all kinds of floating trails and try to jump onto them. Then run across carefully to get many hoops in seconds. If you got them all, wait 30 seconds for them to respawn and go again. Additionally, races like Metal Madness have a lot of hoops if you know the right route, so you could have a good chunk of this objective done while doing your races!

GOLD STYLE SILVER

Spoiler

Evolve Fast Friends 5 Times: Fairly simple as long as you got a nice fistful of Red Rings from doing Adventures, Quests or Events. Go to do the dispenser and get a 25 Fast Friends. And set five of them aside to evolve into Level 2 ONLY. That is the most efficient way to evolve five without making a major dent on your Red Ring wallet.

Get 300 Boost Seconds: To get Boost Seconds easily, go into races. Alternatively, use a Super character if you have them and boost in the overworld. In the overworld, Super characters drains your stamina at one third of the normal speed. Thus you can get longer durations in one extensive boost usage.

Gain 200,000 Rail Grind Points: It's a long process, but at least its simple.

The fastest race is Green Hill, and the longest is City Escape. Try to influence the vote to either Green Hill or Metal City to make this objective go by the quickest.

Boost on a Hoverboard 500 Times: To boost on an Extreme Gear, it consumes a set amount of your boost gauge.

BLACK ROSE AND NO PLACE SONIC

Spoiler

Pass through 100 Sky Rings: Sky Rings refer to airborne Experience Hoops on the map. The best way to get Sky Rings quick is to travel to New Yoke and carefully traverse across the narrow bridges in the sky. Those routes are lined with tons of Hoops that, since it is technically above ground level, count towards this goal.

Defeat 200 Eggforcers: Eggforcers are the bulky ground Badniks from Sonic Prime, only found in New Yoke City and No Place. To rack up Eggforcer kills quickly, make sure you hop onto an airborne mount like the Tornado, or Fang's Hovercraft and loop around No Place as many times as necessary, gunning them down.

Pop 300 Air Bubbles: You know it, you hate it. It's the old Sonic tradition of getting oxygen bubbles underwater. This can only be done in the underwater area of No Place, where a 60 second oxygen timer would be in effect. Looping around the map using a flying vehicle like the Tornado allows you to traverse at a relatively manageable speed to track down and collect air bubbles to extend the timer.

Find 50 Hidden Treasure Chests: Found only in No Place, there's no easy way to find these chests than to do the old fashioned exploration gig to find all 50.

Collect 5000 Chaos Orbs: If you need to do something else, you can easily use Autorun once you reach level 40 and let your character run by itself to collect Chaos Orbs. Just make sure you press a button/key every 18 minutes to avoid being kicked out of the game. Or if you wanna be done fast, run around Lost Valley or Emerald Hill, as their routes house plenty of Chaos Orbs!

People forget that SA2 Knuckles is also in the game. His air necklace prevents him from drowning too.
