After nearly three months, the SAG-AFTRA strike is officially over as of now, with the actor's union seemingly getting everything they wanted. The contract, worth over $1 billion, will last three years, and seemingly gives SAG-AFTRA everything it was after, including limits on AI usage. Technically, the agreement is tentative, and it still needs to be voted on by members, but much like last month's WGA deal, the contract is expected to pass. As we're a Sonic site, we won't go into detail on the contract, but you can read up on it a bit more here. What matters to us, of course, is what it means for Paramount's Sonic 3.

Initially set to begin filming at the end of August, the SAG-AFTRA strike led to the production only filming the movie's CG scenes (some of which has been leaked over the last few months). With the strike now suspended, Sonic 3's actors can finally be filmed and record lines. We'll probably get word on the actors coming to set within the next few weeks, if not sooner. We will also hopefully soon get an update on what's going on with the Knuckles TV series, which ended filming back in June, but which hasn't gotten any sort of trailer, or even a release date, despite it being scheduled for late 2023.

We'll hopefully be getting updates on all these productions soon, so be sure to stay tuned to Sonic Stadium!

Congrats to the actors! I hope the third movie is good (and that the rest of the team is not crunched by the studio not accounting for the strike), though I honestly have no idea what direction they could take to both satiate fans and make a critically well-received film.

Glad to hear that the strike is finally over!  I do hope that the actors and writers take a much needed rest from all of this.  They really need it.  And I can't wait to see more set photos from this movie once they start filming again.

Hopefully this deal will last long and they won't try to do that again, but it most likely will

I wonder if we'll be getting news about Knuckles soon as there's rumors going round that it's been delayed to 2024 due to the actors not being able to promote it.

As I said I can see a trailer for TGA like Sonic 2 did.

I'm happy for them! It's great that all their hard work paid off. I hope these next three years go smoothly.
