Trailers New Sonic Prime Trailer Gives Us a Peek At What's To Come

Netflix debuted a new trailer for what is, at the moment, the final batch of episodes of Sonic Prime (barring a renewal). In it, we get to see the results of Nine's betrayal, and where this whole thing is going: Green Hill is disintegrating, Nine is seeking to build a new world in The Grim, Sonic's trying to stabilize the shatter spaces, and there are new robot versions of some of Sonic's friends! Oh, and Shadow is there, since he has some how managed to get into the Grim himself.

The trailer does have not have a release date beyond "coming soon," though it's probably safe to assume this thing isn't dropping in October. Check out the trailer here:

That line about not being able to bring Green Hill back. I feel like some fans would appreciate that.

But Nine going full Dr. Eggman is certainly interesting. Right down to building a world he wants to live in. The only difference is obviously the motive and esthetic his world would take.

• I wonder what power-up Sonic will get in the Grim, before and after Nine changes it
• I'm also wondering if Sonic will have to rally everybody from the other Shatterspaces in order to take down Nine
• Also, do you think Shadow will get alternate versions of himself? He did get the same glow as everyone else when he tried to force his way into the Shatterspace in Season 2 Episode 1...

I really hate to be like this but, as cool as it would be, anything (and I do mean anything) from Archie Sonic is completely off the table so as not to incur any... legal issues. This includes post-reboot. It sucks, but Ken Penders and Archie themselves did a fantastic job digging Archie Sonic's grave extra deep.

I also feel like we probably won't be getting any more shatterspaces. Not this season, anyway. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, tho.

OH BOY! This looks really exciting!  I was hoping to see Nine as the main villain this season.  I'm really excited to see where this is going!

Well, looks like we'll be waiting a bit before the final season drops. Early 2024 at the earliest.

Honestly don't get why, given the episodes have already been finished for a while now. But eh, it is what it is.

I guess Netflix really wants to give the illusion that these are three seasons worth of episodes, despite the fact that the show only has 26 episodes so far, which is basically 2 seasons.
