Everyone's Favorite Sonic Character, Dodon Pa, Gets a Plushie From GEE

While I patiently await that Starline plush we all know is coming, prolific Sonic plushie maker Great Eastern Entertainment has added yet another Sonic character to their ever expanding line of stuffed animals. The newest edition is none other than Dodon Pa, the bubbly, rotund, super rich space tanuki introduced in Team Sonic Racing.

I must admit, when I was considering which game character they might do next...he had not crossed my mind. But it makes sense! Out of all the Sonic characters introduced over the last decade, he is one of the few outside of the Zeti and Hard Boiled Heavies to not get some kind of plush.

The plush is 14" tall, will be sold for $39.99, and is expected to release some time in November or December. You can pre-order it here. Check out photos of the plush below:

Personally speaking, as someone who's decided to make these plushies their Sonic collectible "thing" due to the wide assortment of characters available, I definitely plan on picking this up.

Was there anybody, and I do mean anybody, who was asking for this one? I mean dang, I feel like you could pull another character out of thin air that would have more relevance or appeal than big D here.

Unless this is confirmation of the next Sonic racing game in the works. If that is the case, then bring it on.

I literally just started up Team Sonic Racing for the first time in months, and now this gets announced!?

Not like I'll be getting it, but...why?

I get TSR is the most recent, and more easily accessible of the Sonic Racing Trilogy at the moment. With the other two stuck on Steam, and possibly played on Xbox via BC (been a bit since I checked).

Not to mention TSR is referenced in Frontiers & IDW, tho those specific reasons would be a bit of a stretch.

I dunno, kind of odd. Honestly expected Sage, Fang or Trip getting something at this point over Dodon Pa. But here we are.

Sage and Fang are getting ones (or might already have one). As for Trip, they're probably waiting on Superstars to release.

I'm pretty sure the title was making the same joke with a whole lot of sarcasm.

But putting all silliness aside. I don't see anything wrong with a plushie of him existing. Something like 7 Billion of us on this flying rock, a good number of them would enjoy having that. Plus as I'm in a household that has a baby recently join them, infants don't discriminate.

All things considered it's a neat addition to the line, albiet a strange one. A shame that such a prominent sonic plush producer only exists within a whole two countries, but I've been thinking of importing a few from their lineup when I get the money

There's random and then there's this!!  I honestly thought we's see a Caterkiller plush before him! Lol

Choice aside, looks like the usual GE quality, so very good. 

Who knows...Marine next? Or maybe random Coconut Crew member no3 Tabby

It makes me wonder how they select which characters get merch. Obviously a named character is a core component but will they go down the starwars route? X character with <5 seconds screen time gets their own plush/figure

And for some reason still no Omega. Or Marine. Characters like Sticks are a little bit more justified and characters like Sally or Cosmo are pipe dreams.
