Ok, so I decided to revisit some games that I used to play after I got bored of most of the modern games marketing. Among those was The Sims on the GBA, and DUDE, if you never played this games you really shold!

Unlike the PC versions the ones in the GBA have a entire story and missions, and man, those are good. In the first one (Bustin' Out) you go live at a small town called Simvalley in his farm, your only goal here is to live your everyday life, got some money and start climbing the social ladder of the city. The minigames are super cool (my favorites of the three on the GBA) especially the Guitar Hero like one, that is one of the last that you unlock. The only thing that I dislike is that you can't choose where to live, you switch houses along the progress of the game. In the story department, this one is basic, but is cool to see the lore of the chracters in the city, like the girl that had her parents killed by the Veloci-Rooster (Brutal), a beast that will also be your nightmare if you play this game. But even the most basic has a amazing part in the story, when you get to the end and

discover that you come from the space!

The second one is my favorite. The Urbz for the GBA and DS, there is little difference of the versions. In this direct sequel, you got in the top of the King Tower in Urbania after the events of the last game. In this one you can actually chosse where to live and have to work your reputation in the city to defeat the evil Daddy Bigbucks from taking the city and turning it in a theme park to make more money than he already has. The musics in this game are gold, and by far is the best city of all three. The minigames are less cool than the first one, but I love the basketball one and playing violin with that damn Red Man. The story has more space here, and also goes to another level of crazyness.

The Sims 2 have the best music definition and graphics of all the three games, but is the least fun. It's small, the interaction is more boring since you don't have the answers in text of the NPCs like the first two games, the episodies mechanic is a bit strange in the simulation part and most of the jobs are plain boring. In this one you're a actor that is part of a reality-show in Strangetown for Daddy Bigbucks, you have to do commercials, worry about ratings and stuff like that in a hell of ugly city.

I'm going to play The Sims 2 on the DS now and after that play the Pets of the GBA (The only one in the GBA that I didn't played), I hope that I got your attention to play those awesome games and jewels of the 2000s.

In the first one (Bustin' Out)

I played Bustin' Out.

It was kind of wild. Fun, but wild. Though I was impressed with seeing how well the game tried to translate the experience to a pocketsize level. Not sure if it's something I'd ever revisit  (maybe, but it's been decades) but it definite clung to my memory.
