ummm i think they should make one with a rollacoster theme

Like Twinkle Park, Eggmanland, and Asteroid Coaster?

Whatever eggman's base is in ep.2 it would be cool if it was like a Aircraft. Maybe a prototype of the eggcarrier and as the episode goes on the ship gets a different more complete look more like a battleship.

Hmmm...so we've got a Marble Garden wheel, a Greek Aquatic Ruin-esque pillar, and a Sea Lion badnik...

Aquatic Arctic Ruin Zone, anyone?

I think a frozen jungle would be a pretty cool idea.

I've wanted a frozen jungle theme for ages (read: since that one level in NSMBWii). Frozen ruins would be a nice twist as well. I wouldn't even mind a total ripoff of Ice Paradise if Episode II's graphics are nice enough. Just, please, no more snowy mountains or glaciers.

I might like to see a water level that's the result of a flood rather than a natural body of water. It could be raining in the above-water parts of the level, and underwater it could be anything; a forest, a city, an Eggman base, whatever. Actually, an intentionally waterlogged Eggman base would be sort of new as well, wouldn't it? Hm.

How about a city? The closest thing to that in the classics is Starlight, but I'd like one taking place in the middle of a city.

This may sound creepy but maybe a human body themed level? Or maybe a Halloween level.

A haunted zone I could appreciate, but I don't think a human-body themed level would make sense for the Classics series.

If you look at the zones, they're all at least somewhat analogous to real world environments; in fact, S4 has even gone to the trouble of putting its zones on a map. I can't picture a giant human body floating next to Splash Hill Zone, nor do I want to know why Eggman would be trying to conquer it. tongue.png

But I thought Iizuka Dental was confirmed?

Iizuka Dental Zone:

Explore the rotting dentures as you stop Eggman from corroding the teeth away! Hazards include plaque, molar drills, mouldy crisps, & of course, chocolate mouthwash!

from what we've seen so far from concept arts we might see a desert level and a water/flower level...

I hope for

Water /Flower based level

Canyon/Desert/Base level

Ice/Crystal Cave level

Mall/Carnival Level

Futuristic City/Neon/Rainy level

Space Level

Have we ever gotten a base in the forest in the series? Because I think that would be a great idea for a zone in E2.

Iron Jungle in ShTH was a terrible attempt at this. Edited by HYDROCITEE

We should call it Egg Hill. Two words used throughout the series and there hasn't been an Egg Hill yet?!

like a mechanical Green Hill zone? I know one Game Gear game did something like that.

I meant the name :P Mecha Green Hill was a cool idea in Sonic Chaos but I fucking hated that level |:

Sonic & Tails: Iizuka's Inside Story.

Aaaanyways, I wanna return to Emerald Hill Zone, and it can all be roboticized and shit.

I keep forgetting about the map in Episode 1. With these desertish badniks showing up, I wonder if its possible that we're traveling to the rocky desert to the left of Casino Street/Mad Gear.

I had an idea a while ago from listening to The Pendulum. You know how Zones like Casinopolis/Nights/Streets/etc is a city of Casinos (ala Los Vegas)? Well how about a city based on music - No, not like Music Plant (although I loved it), more like a city full of clubs, discos & crazy light & stereos, sitting beside & covering tropical islands:

Ravers Paradise Zone:

Trope: Urban/Tropical

Act 1 - Surf's Up Dude!

This Act starts out with Sonic arriving on a beach, the Raving city of clubs is seen in the background on a massive island. This Act has Sonic leaping across small islands, running across the water, swinging off palmtrees, using the bass from massive stereos to launch him into the air & other places, & other musical themed gimmicks somehow. Sonic will also surf across the water with a surfboard (a throwback to Ice Cap), avoiding natural hazards (e.g. rocks) & badniks!

Also, to make this zone even livelier, various animals & anthros will be seen in the foreground & background, dancing, relaxing, or cheering you on when you go past them!

Act 2 - Blasting Through The Streets!

This takes place on the streets this time - There are still some island hopping, except it's from roof-to-roof jumping. Sonic will occasionally (& literally) crash the parties out in the open or indoors as badniks gather. There are few moments when you run past a line of crowds, they wil jump to your support or do a Mexican wave. There is a segment in the Act where Sonic will run around the inside of a sports stadium as you chase after a strong Badnik (kinda like the Sonic Advance 2 bosses or chasing those crazy genie-like egg thieves in the original Spyro games)!

If you catch & defeat it, you will be able to fight the Boss normally. If you fail to catch & defeat it, this Badnik will assist Eggman in the Boss Act, making it slightly harder.

Act 3 - Crashin' The Party!

This takes place inside a really massive palace, modified into a club. There will be swinging on headlight, wires (avoid the live wire) & much more platforming as your main goal in this Act is to scale to the top (kinda like Ocean Base in Sonic Advance 3). There will be many animals & anthros raving & dancing, but will start panicking & run when badniks show up - a bonus in this Act would be if you defeat the badniks that are threatening certain anthros, they will help you by unlocking certain pathways/gates or create a sort of "platform" formation of themselves so you can advance through a different route or to hidden items!

Boss Act - Eggman On The Dancefloor!

This Boss is set on the roof of the palace in a dancefloor arena - Badniks are crowded round the background cheering on Robotnik & booing Sonic when he makes an attack! I haven't thought far as what the boss mech would be & act like so far, but he will make a move that will cause the dancefloor tiles (which Sonic is standing on) to flip & fall.

At the end of the battle, Robotnik's mech will explode & so will the badniks in the background & foreground, revealing the cheery animals inside! Other anthros will run in & cheer you on too!

(I was inspired by The Pendulum & probably the Streets Of Rage trilogy too, due to some levels featuring club streets & a disco at one point. The idea of civilians is actually inspired by the opening gameplay of Super Mario Galaxy 2, where panicking toads scatter as the castle is being attacked.)

The one paradise of money and extra lives bordering a barren wasteland... Great contrast.

To be honest, an American desert style level isn't that far of a stretch, considering the recent enemies being revealed.

I'd want a Northern lake-like stage, with cool woodland for act 1 and a frozen lake for act 3. Not sure about the rest.

I'm quite keen on the frozen lake idea. :D

The map seems to suggest a desert level that takes place at night, also, why is there light shining from the bottom right corner of the map?

Lights radiating from cracks/or from the ground?.. Somehow, I'm getting a Radiant Emerald/Hidden Palace/Toxic Cave vibe from this...
