Below are screens from Sega Direct of the next Sonic Game Boy Advance adventure, Sonic Battle. Look below, you'll see a screen of what appears to be a new character playable. Looks to be some type of bot named "Emerl"? Some additional information can be found on the Sega Direct page, too. It says (in Japanese, this is machine translated), "you can use a variety of strategies when playing against friends. For example, you can hide from your opponent and recover secretly, set a mine behind a wall to damage your opponent, ambush your opponent and suddenly attack them..." We already knew that the game would include an AI battle partner, but we didn't know what it looked like or even if it was playable until now. If these screenshots are any indication, it looks like 'Emerl' will indeed be playable. He looks rather cool in the gold, don't you think? There are more screenshots on the Sega Direct page here. -
