  • Sonic Superstars Takes Over London's Westfield Shopping Centre

    Giant Sonic, LEGO Eggman and more!

    If you're taking a trip to London's Westfield centre to do some Christmas shopping over the next couple of weeks, you'll be lucky enough to catch a giant Sonic the Hedgehog running around!

    The above massive Sonic balloon is just part of a larger installation at the shopping mall, that includes a giant LEGO Eggman Robot to take selfies with, a floorspace to jump across where you can also search for Chaos Emeralds and even an animated wall that shows Classic Sonic running around.

    Check out some more images below, courtesy of SEGA, and be sure to check out the installation if you're nearby. The Westfield London is situated at Ariel Way, Shepherds Bush, W12 7GF, and the Sonic stuff will be there until December 8th.

    Oh my word! That is awsome!! A Day trip to London for some xmas shopping and sonic spotting is now being planned!

    The Lego promo continues to be the strangest thing about Superstars. They could show off the multiplayer and four main heroes, the brand new Emerald powers or trio of baddies you'll be up against... But no. They show off Lego Eggman. I'm lost. Does anyone even use the Lego skins in-game? They're all crazy ugly. 

    Still, this is a cool installment. If I had any reason to go to Westfield, this would be fun to see.

    Very nice. A bit late for Black Friday though.

    Just in time for Cyber Monday though.

    I wish my hometown of Northampton had something that cool!

    Seems like the UK is having abit of a Sonic Balloon renaissance between this and the 90s one at the Bristol Balloon fiesta back in August

    If I were there, I would run around without a care because I need to find that DAMN red chaos emerald! Unfortunately, as much as I love and respect London, I don't live there.

    I may be wrong, but I always thought Sonic was more popular in Britain than the US?

    Ahhhh, this brings back memories of being a kid and going to places with these sorts of promotions. My family doesn't even go to shopping malls anymore because there's not much point when anything you want can be ordered from the comfort of your home with the press of a button and no time spent in traffic.
