Mario and Sonic? Together at last? Well, sort of. In a strange turn of events, it has been discovered that a couple of episodes of DiC's "Sonic Underground" have been included as bonuses in Nintendo cartoon DVDs - namely those for Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda.
The discovery comes from 'Jason Hill' on Sonic HQ, who reported that the "Mario DVD" contains the episode, 'Sonic Tonic' and the "Zelda DVD" contains both 'To Catch a Queen' and 'Wedding Bell Blues'. It was not specified which particular DVD releases these episodes are included on, but apparently the quality of the Sonic Underground episodes were not exactly top notch.
"I've seen these episodes and they did a quick transfer to the point [where] they didn't fix the problems with the episodes... but [they're] still watchable," Hill wrote.
There's probably a reason for the episodes' seemingly-random inclusion: there's apparently a new Sonic Underground DVD coming out soon, as it is mentioned "on the back of both [Mario and Zelda] DVDs." No other information is available on this upcoming release, except the title: "Sonic Underground: Dr. Robotnik's Revenge".
