How would you remake an old Sonic game?

I don't particularly understand the reference. Are people upset at the fact that Cave Story 3D is only a graphical update, or is it a general overhaul that was met warmly by the most hardcore fans?

Yeah, as much as I try to talk big in here, I'm relatively game-illiterate. 8P

Oh, well, you say a graphical update is the only safe option, but people were like bitch bitch bitch about the fact that they updated the graphics for the Wii one. And not even in the total overhaul like on the 3DS, all they did was double the resolution, practically tracing over the original sprites with more detail.

Though I will agree graphical updates are the LEAST offensive. I think people were more bothered by the music changes, though that was just as irrelevant as both graphics and music could be toggled back and forth.

Oh, except for the new translation. People fussed about that too. "Oh Yeah!" instead of "Huzzah!" as Balrog's catchphrase got a lot of flack, even though "Oh Yeah!" is apparently a more accurate translation from the original script.
