Sad. Hero Mix looks like a Flash online game instead of a console game.

I miss Guitar Hero sometimes, all I want are good (fun) songs with a fun chart that I can play with a toy guitar. I don't really want any innovation.

Definitely a console game. The developer's portfolio says it was an Xbox 360 game.

I know, but it looks like a flash game! D:

You can only do so much with a game like Guitar Hero. Releasing more tracks as DLC would've actually been beneficial to the longevity of the brand instead of releasing yearly sequels. I think that's actually what's happening with Rock Band.

Instead, Activision were short-sighted as hell and started over-saturating the genre with Guitar Hero games, and consumers just got sick of it. It'll eventually happen to CoD, too.

Yearly releases is a terrible long-term strategy.

Doesn't look special, so don't care that it was canned. Rock Band is and will always be better than Guitar Hero, but I suppose it's Activision's fault that Guitar Hero went down the drain in quality.

This, coming from the fanbase that usually gets treated to a release schedule even tighter than that and wouldn't have it any other way. dry.png

I used to really love Guitar Hero. It practically consumed my last year of high school and I got good enough to win second place at a local tournament. They're all great memories. But the concept can only be taken so far. I'm not talking about adding an extra button or strings or whatever, I mean once they started scraping the bottom of the music pile it was dead in the water. And that had already happened by 2008.
