Knuckles in IDW

The IDW Sonic series has been running for 6 years now, and within that span of time our favorite red echidna has made his fair share of appearances. Since it's his week, let's discuss his portrayal!

Those expressions for him were on point during the Neo Metal Sonic saga. Not to mention the 30th Anniversary story with that "innocent look" when taking the Chaos Emerald.

His best moment for me was punching Zombot Shadow. Selfless sacrifice, no hesitation, all that to buy precious second for the rest. Plus punching Shadow in the face will always feel cathartic.

He's not as often as I would like, but comic is doing it's best to balance like 20 characters, I'm willing to cut them some slack. The bigger problem is that neither Flynn or Stanley have few good ideas on how to get him off the island. His stories do feel a liiiitle restrictive. Archie Preboot lacked that problem, while Reboot had a shattered ME arc, perfect to get him on the move.
