it would make sense since free riders had metal sonic in disguise to join the competition. might just be wishful thinking though as I really want more metal sonic focus

edit: im totally tin foil hat theorying right now but the line about coming back for revenge... maybe bc he was defeated as neo in the first arc?

Maybe whoever the Phantom Rider is will tie into whatever arc we get after the Clutch arc wraps up. Kinda like how Clutch was introduced midway through the long-running Starline arc.

We have the B Cover by Abby Starling, which shows Surge & Kit

Surge appears to be riding a green customized version of the Classic Hang-On. While it is a powerful bike, the Hang-On has low control and is a gas guzzler. It's also a nod to the Hang-On Sega Series.

Kit is riding the Class Cover F, a Bike type Extreme Gear introduced in Sonic Riders. It's an exclusive Bike for Flight Racers that increases their acceleration and endurance.
